I'm writing new stuff just for fun based on my new warrior, pics below:

Design concept: Sci-fi Halo style Trooper/Commando

Lore idea: The proud and patriotic Ebon Vanguard - now decommissioned as the humans and the charr establish a peace treaty - seek to retain their military prowess and a group of the elite, form the Ebon Vanguard High Orbital Paratrooper Special Operations Unit, otherwise by names such as EEVEE (E.V.), EVO (Ebon Vanguard Ops). Although mercenaries by nature, they are quickly deployed by the Pact, especially with their anti-draconic airship fleets. Through a collaborative experimental project in junction with a PACT Priory Asuran scientist, engineer and self-proclaimed genius, the unit represents soldiers of a new breed, with advanced combat armored suits and bio-augmentation deployed secretively in the most dangerous scenarios.

Mwahahahaha. Needs a halo-style helmet


I've read a HALO novel before lolol, so I'm writing a military sci-fi ish gw2 story on their anti-draconic "operations" xD haha

Were you, like, my sister in a previous life or something? I've actually been conceptualizing writing an actual Halo fanfic about the Orbital Drop Shock Troopers for a while lmao.

Which Halo novel did you read? I've read most of them and Fall of Reach is still my favorite.

Just an FYI, you can't be Master Chief, that's me. You can be Noble Six if you want however. Also, I read all the Halo novels, my favorite one was the one where you see the world from the perspective of the one Marine who's infected by the Flood, and is struggling against it by trying to get his former allies to kill him to end his suffering. It was so dark, it was so good.

Personal History:
Born and raised in Ebonhawke with frequent trips to Divinity's Reach with her father's work as a high officer in the Vanguard. On Tsuyura's fifteenth birthday, her father was killed on the battlefield leaving her ill mother in her care. But soon after, her mother passed on as well. Tsuyura is recalled to have actively sought vengeance and together with several childhood friends, joined the Ebon Vanguard for a short few years. Her military success is well known in the Vanguard and participated in the largest military campaigns in the Fields of Ruin. In 1325 AE, Tsuyura led her squad during the retaking of Ascalon, and established several of the most forward camps and captured many high ranking Charr, though the operation finally ended in failure. Tsuyura managed to single-handedly viciously defeat Flame Legionnaire Skarr Grimfire with most of her squad injured. Upon the human and charr treaty, Tsuyura continued working with the Separatists in several brutal operations that ended in the deaths of an ambassador official from Divinity's Reach. She was captured and jailed by the Seraph in Divinity's Reach for four months until summoned before the Queen. The Queen spoke to her personally and shifted Tsuyura's perception to the larger threat of the Elder Dragons. The Ebon Vanguard was decommissioned in 1329 AE and Tsuyura formed the Ebon Vanguard Special Operations Unit. In 1330 AE, Tsuyura came in contact with an Asuran PACT Priory scientist and engineer, whereupon initiating a collaborative project in creating armored battle suits and the augmentation of human performance. Naturally, the Ebon Vanguard Special Operations Unit became the Ebon Vanguard High Orbital Paratrooper Special Operations Unit (EEVEE or EVO) under the PACT. Tsuyura is known to still harbor strong hatred towards the Charr.

Health and Bio-analysis:
No health defects or current health issues. Wounded left arm and shoulder in campaign VII, Silent Storm 1334 AE. Bio-chemical augmentation and mystic engineering of Durmand Priory Project Osiris only reached Phase 1 on subjects. 7268C demonstrated significant results that surpassed expectations, but maintained mental stability. Phase 2 was aborted. Augmentation includes increased reflex time, superior strength and endurance. See Project Osiris File T41 for more information.

Quiet, listens carefully, respectful, easy to get along with.

Personal History:
Serenity Sey Sol was born in Salma District, Divinity’s Reach on August 3, 1307 AE.  Her mother Eto Kisai Sol, a Canthan woman, was taken by a group of Orrian renegades in 1310 AE and was never heard from again.  Some say that she went against the Ministry of Purity and was punished.  Her father Josef Sol of Kryta, a Whispers Lightbringer, was still on duty during the time and did not hear of the news until 1315 AE, when he returned home.  This left Sey in an orphanage until she turned 8 years old.  Sey was a very quiet child and had no clue what a real family was like.  When her father returned to Divinity’s Reach, the two felt no connection but as years passed both felt the family spirit grow.

From 1315 to 1322 AE Sey was trained by her father.  He did not want this lifestyle for his daughter but it was her choice.  Her father saw the power she held within herself and put his faith in her.  The Flame Legion began to rise and her father was called by the Whispers to return.  Upon returning, Josef was ambushed by Flame Legion scrappers and was taken to Blackwing Excavation Camp in Fields of Ruin.  Sey was devastated and wanted to seek her father.

In 1323 AE, Sey joined the Ebon Vanguard and was placed under Lieutenant Tsuruya’s command.  She knew the Ebon Vanguard was going to strike Fields of Ruin and was her chance to save her father.  Sey was part of Lieutenant Tsuruya’s raid squad and was sent to Blackwing Excavation Camp to fulfill her mission.  The raid was set but the Charr were too powerful.  Though managing to save her father, Sey had also escaped the Ebon Vanguard.  Her mission was to only save her father and return to Divinity’s Reach.  With her father’s condition there was no chance to return home and even with the help of the Ebon Vanguard she would be punished for not reporting back.  Since the raid on Blackwing Sey’s status was known to be K.I.A.

In 1330 AE, Sey and her father were found in a small shack just east of Ebonhawke Stronghold.  The Seraph took her in for questioning and was revoked of her rank in the Ebon Vanguard.  She was jailed for several months until she was bailed out as a special request from Lieutenant Tsuruya.  She was reunited with her father who was taken back home months prior and had fully recovered from his conditions.  Sey was sought out by Lieutenant Tsuruya to join EVO and since then has been loyal.

Sey is now stationed in Sector E-Bay with Unit Red and are holding operations commanded by Lt. Tsuruya.  Her father remains in Salma District as her personal weaponsmith and supporter of EVO.  Peace in Tyria will be fulfilled.

Health and Bio-analysis:
Suffering from mild memory loss due to an incident during campaign VII Silent Storm 1334 AE.  All other health related issues remain unknown.  No further documentation for ID: 6218A.

PROLOGUE

"You seriously couldn't choose a better location?"

He chuckled and set down his pearl white cup on the edge of the railing. It glittered quietly in the gentle sapphire glow of the arcane crystals hovering in mid-air, just above the smooth alloy platforms of Asuran-esque construction. No doubt, as entrancing as it may seem, each crystal held tremendous energy, enough to send electric chills up their spines.

She never liked Rata Sum. It was always full of boasts and random oddities, treacherous and dangerous experiments that might detonate left and right, sending krewes running in panic. It was a beautiful, mystical and technologically advanced city, but with the amount of unseen tension and power in the air, it filled her with unease.

"Did you expect a date or something?" He laughed again, sipping from his cup of coffee.

She stood crossing her arms silently.

"Soldier, we're off hours, but talking to a superior like that will have consequences as soon as we return."

He shook his head slowly, a grin still broad on his face. "Ma'am with all due respect, you need to lighten up."

She brushed him off but he watched her features soften when she realized the tension from their recent deployment was still lingering in her mind. She needed to relax.

She had known Dayne for most of her life, struggling from the pits of poverty, defending their family and livestock against the Charr before being recruited into the Ebon Vanguard to seek vengeance. Ever since, their group had been known for their brutality and efficiency seeing many battles together. Though their bond be brotherhood, most of their lives were engaged in military action.

Still, times have changed, they were no longer fighting for their lives and survival. They were fighting because they wanted to. Because they had ideals to follow. Because there was a greater cause. Was what she convinced herself of.

"So, what have you got for me?"

He lifted a carbon-fibre folder and tossed it at her.

She caught it effortlessly with a wry smile. "Thanks."

"I've been camping out here for twenty nine hours, miss. I better get overtime for this."

She gave him a smile to the best of her ability. "Sorry. But you know, I can't stand that mad freak."

"He's mad alright. But definitely got talent, to keep up with us."

"Well he's engineered the whole thing, he better finish what he started."

"So? What do you think?"

She finished glancing over the files, the crisp sheets of plexiglass etched with figures and diagrams, fresh from the Asura lab.

"Looks good to the untrained eye. I should like to see it myself but I'm not going to last a minute listening to his rants."

"You can trust him. He's no friend, but he boasts of his experimental perfection and achievements."

"I would hope so. He is Asura after all."

Dayne laughed. "And Durmand Priory."

"I'm a little concerned about his new voluntary addition though."

"I've done some test runs. It seems to function."

"Seems to." She mocked and shrugged. "Whatever. As long as it doesn't blow up in our faces."

There was brief silence before it was broken by a loud squeaky voice.

"Rinn! How remarkable to see you again, after so long!"

It was him without a doubt. He was likely the only acquaintance who could forgo all formalities towards the young woman, despite of her refusal to be associated with the scientist. She managed to roll her eyes at her friend as if repeating her first question about the selection of location, before she spun around with a polite smile on her face. The two snapped to a crisp salute, one fist crossed over their hearts, standing impeccably upright and chest forward.

The scientist grinned broadly, his grey-skinned head only reaching their knees so he had to look up with his beady wide eyes and sharp fanged teeth. His monocle fell over his nose and he stooped to pick it up with anxious hands.

His voice was sharp and hurried. "Surely, this young lady has come to observe my newest achievements with our project haven't you! I assure you it has been optimized with extraordinary results and will be primed for immediate deployment, Lieutenant. The photon capacitor has reached peak levels of performance and now discharges a hyper-resonance espherical aura around the perimeter of the combat suit that should deflect most, if not all damage until the energy crystals are depleted. The crystals will charge on its own, so long as there is either motion or solar energy. I'd say the design is flawless, you must see it for yourself, you've come here for that purpose I believe yes? Oh, come with me!" His little grey hands reached to grab Rinn's wrist and with much effort dragged the reluctant soldier towards his laboratory.

Though they had worked together for years now, she had never been fond of the engineer. He would continue on and on about his developments with the use of senseless technological terms that the Lieutenant could hardly comprehend. Nor did she want to. As long as it performed, was all she expected.

They had reached the laboratory quickly, the scientist's tiny feet scampering at full speed into a cramped space wrested between three soaring walls that formed a cathedral ceiling above them. Every corner and crack was full of devices and objects, mechanical junk, energy crystals and batteries, wiring and cables and broken pieces of scrap metals. The space was bathed in blue green lights that were mounted into the wall and tiny Asura krewemates were darting to and fro from corner to corner with armfuls of tools. Although the scientist was trusted within the PACT, becoming an official outsource contractor, in Rata Sum and amongst the Asura, his name held no value. The Asura race seemed to consider his work crude and unsophisticated but he would always assert his true genius was hidden by the practicality and user-friendliness of his projects. Though Rinn was by no means fond of him, she believed practicality was better than extravagant and awe-inspiring designs.

They stopped short now, the scientist pulling them in front of a row of massive upright glass tubes where through its tinted reflective glass, they could make out the vaguely familiar humanoid forms.

"The EEVEE Combat Suit. Version 2."

The Asura was beaming at his masterpiece, a wide and full row of teeth, shining against the eerie blue glow. With one hand, he placed it on the platform below one of the tubes, and with a hiss, the tube began to rise slowly, releasing a thin sterile mist, obscuring their vision.

"Shall we put these to the test?"

Cool story breh needs more Reina x Kiera and their sack of potato babies.

For space/sci-fi looking helmets, Crucible of Eternity and Sorrow's Embrace helmets are the best ones I can think of. (And maybe Priory as well)

yes yes come XD Illumination and Tarnished Steel (default) mostly, I used ebony on top of chest and gold for leggings on my own, but its all roughly the same. Tarnished Steel rather than ebony or black, cuz it gives off a more military battle worn, desaturated, armor look and dark on the top part of the chest, it looks cooler and gold on top is like Lionguard xD
