The games I was playing before I bought GW2 in December were:
Perfect World International, Wartune (mostly because I can play this game from work) and Monster Paradise.

Some other games I played in 2012 prior to GW2 were:
Realm of the Titans/Tian Yi Jue (天翼决)
Lime Odyssey
Final Fantasy XIII

I played MW3 for the first time in ages yesterday and in my first game got accused of hacking. I miss this :D

Started in Ultima Online in 96ish *beta* until 2001ish.

Went to EQ in 99 *beta* and played until 2003-4ish.

Ashrons Call 1&2 *betas* - Game was cool.. class balance and character progression were meh =/

DAOC , Shadowbane - both meh -

After these steaming piles of game I took a short break for a few years until the release of Vanguard. Which was an amazing game with an even more amazing graphics system.. unfortunately it did not stick I would dare to say that, even still, Vanguard trumps all games as graphics go - completely amazing.

Vanguard lead to Age of Conan on the wait for Warhammer Online - AoC had hands down the best combat interface - OMG - and who could not love fatalities.

From AoC to Warhammer - I had huge hopes for this game because I was a total Warhammer nerd when I was like 12 but it was a complete mess =/

After AoC it was break time again until I was talked into playing Aion - cool game.. flying = amazing - PvP balance was a huge issue.

After Aion, CoS took over RIFT by overwhealming force - We caused many players/guilds to transfer servers/quit the game it was unreal. Excellent game - PvP balance is somewhat of an issue.. thats why GW2 sparked our interests so much.

Between waiting for GW2 we found Tera and quickly left it where we found it - Combat was cool.. class balance is total shit, PvE sucks and lets not even mention trying to gear out for PvP, total shitstorm!

And now here we are in GW2 - which I am looking to make home for a while to come. The game is free, PvP is fairly balanced and did I forget to mention its free?

As far as MMORPGs go, I've only played Perfect World International (for about 3 years), and TERA (for about 3...months. Lol.).  I play GW2 along with occasional games of League of Legends with my friends...

Otherwise, I like games like Final Fantasy, Tales of (insert whichever title here), Harvest Moon, the Sims, etc.

Halo Reach - Mass Effect 3 - Guildwars 2.

I typically played Invasion on Halo though I left when people just started to give up rather than fight the second round   Nearly solo'd one game because of that but that Core.

Played a Drell Adept in ME3 multiplayer...Yeah that is right remember all that Drellstep we gave you guys? Yeah   it was 24/7 for me. Went for Glass Cannon with Reave and Cluster combo using a Shotgun as my main typically ran Gold, 2 video's of that then I got bored and left that to and now I'm here.

Tales of Graces f... So much Tales of Graces f. Absolutely in love with the battle system and all the characters.

Also the waiting game for Corpse Party: Book of Shadows and A Machine for Pigs.

Guild Wars 2 isn't my main game, but I am playing more often nowadays. Before GW2, I played a lot of Total War games, Mount & Blade: Warband, Halo Reach, Gears of War 3, and Skyrim.

I took a long break some time after GW2 was released to play Borderlands 2, Assassin's Creed 3, Halo 4, and Far Cry 3.
