Our History:

We were formed on February 16, 1978 in response to the creation of the first Computerized Bulletin Board System (CBBS). We knew that the maelstrom that would follow this new technology should be monitored and guided if it was going to be the magnificent beast it is today. It worked, you're welcome.

Our Mission Statement:

Meow Town is founded on the principals of providing a quality life to the miserable SOBs that use internet forums. We band together across multiple cultures, sexes (mmmmm, sexes), and professions to police these and other forums and to keep them interesting even at the cost of self deprecation.

What kind of guild is Meow Town?
Meow Town is a PvF guild (that's Player vs Forum).

What are your playtimes?
Meow Town is active from midnight to midnight, 8 days a week

What are your rules on repping?
Meow Town requires that you rep us in some way or form. How you do that is up to you, but it must be visible in some way on these forums.

What is your policy on multi-guilding?
Meow town is a PvF guild, so as such I don't care what guilds you belong to in the game of Guild Wars 2. Once you join Meow Town, you won't receive a guild invite in the game. You will never be invited to events. You won't be gathering to clear heart quests. I want nothing to do with you.

What are the benefits of joining?
Meow Town has many benefits once you join. We have ranks, a forum bank, and organized raids on Thuley once a week. You will belong to a distinguished group of individuals banded together to push the limits of the rules and avoid the banhammer of the Thuley. We also offer DKP.

How do I join?
Meow Town is currently accepting members. To apply, you must reply in this thread, after which point you will be interviewed in this thread. If you are a girl IRL (or can fake it really well), you will be awkwardly hit on by members of Meow Town until you pass the initiation. After that time, you will be allowed to rep Meow Town in these forums. Line forms to the left.

Sadly, the burden of running a guild is too much for me.  I have decided to step down as guild leader for Meow Town but I will always enjoy my time here and remember the many friends that I have made.

I'm a lawyer and I wanted to bring to your attention a class action lawsuit being filed against [MEOW] for intellectual theft of my millions of cat clients. Any use of the phrase, verb, adjective, vowel, sandwich, costume, surgery, scrabble word, phone number, name, and/or religion "MEOW" is illegal and punishable by some law somewhere. I'll update you when we figure out what and where that law is.
