The people who made Teamspeak didn't think that it would be necessary to implement password inheritance in such a way that channels created as sub-channel of a channel that has a password, that password is not propagated to the sub-channel.

So let's have a look at what [nevr] has done to their guild channel:

As you can see by the yellow channel icon as well as the lock icon on the right side, the actual [nevr] channel is password protected.

However, all channels below are not password protected even though they where created as sub-channels of the main [nevr] channel.

The result of this is that anyone on the server will be able to enter the channels that are not password protected.

So if you want to make sure to keep folks out you do need to explicitly set the password for each channel you create.

[nevr] actually moved off of the server, for reasons unknown they feel better about running a TS server for their whole guild off of someone's home internet connection, it's there if they want to come back but for now they are off

Hey Thuley we really appreciate all you've done to set up teamspeak channels for all the guilds! :)

We moved to our own teamspeak 3 server because we were finally able to get a stable connection from our host. We had constant disconnects with our previous host, thats why we moved to Public Ehmry server for a while.

As you mentioned, we were unaware of the sub-channel password feature, and we actually had a few randoms from other guilds join our sub-channels from time to time, and it kind of made us feel uneasy.

But this is a great thread, thanks for pointing that out to us!
