Hello Ehmry Bay peoples,

I am Blackehawke (Blackefalcon)the GM of the Hired Assassins guild [HIRE]. We are a 450 man Oceanic guild  that just recently transferred from Isle of Janthir. We are also in an alliance with Blood Pact [BP]. This alliance has been dubbed: the Vision Offensive Alliance.

We hope to improve your oceanic presence here in EB and to bring it to T1 :3
We are known throughout the forums. Both official and guru as being a large guild that carries the IoJ server along with the Never Die Guild.

Our reasons for leaving IoJ are personal and we wouldn't like to share them as of this moment

I am speaking for all of HIRE when I say that we are looking forward to communicate with all of you and I've head only good things about EB from Grimaldi.

Welcome to Ehmry Bay. Blood Pact already seemed like a nice group of people who were very open about coordinating, so if you guys are on good terms, I'm sure things will go well.

As of right now, we have no oceanic guilds, so you will be working with a lot of pugs, dedicated NAs, or our few dedicated Europeans and Kiwis who do their best defending against overwhelming odds. Ehmry Bay is almost completely based in NA, and we maintain a presence 6 hours of the day that can compete with the upper tiers. If you begin to feel overpowered from the oceanic presence of other servers, you can find people in our public Teamspeak 3 channel that will probably get who they have available to assist. Hopefully your guild will consider a long stay, but I'll list candid positives and negatives that will help your decision:

+ No risk of transfers. The core guilds have remained since we fell to Tier 7 and are dedicated to remaining with the server regardless of rank.
+ Dedicated NA presence. We work extremely hard without any dependence on night or morning capping. We are the complete opposite of Dragonbrand and Crystal Desert who are lazy and depend on the work of their oceanic guilds. We will uphold our end always and assist you all as well.
+ Coordinated opener on reset. We take pride in making one of the strongest openers of any server in North America. Since we normally lose to larger populations that can maintain presence throughout the week, we fill all borderlands with our core guilds on Friday to send a clear message that we're better pound for pound. Many strategies against us include giving up on Friday to take everything from us Saturday afternoon. You will definitely find us fighting past 7:30AM EST to hold the lead Saturday morning.
+ Public Teamspeak 3 server. We maintain open communications between guilds on this server, and this is the best way to coordinate with us for pushes or ask for help. It's especially busy on Friday night when most of our guilds use it.
+ Motivated server mentality. We are not complacent or throw matchups. You will not have server-wide surrenders for hard match ups because our guilds have historically always kept a presence regardless of score.
+ Strong focus on defense. The core guilds have discipline in defending home borderlands and reinforcing whatever we have before moving on; we've had to in order to survive the hardest matchups with our smaller population. We will borderlands hop on requests for aid and make other servers bleed to take whatever we own.

- No oceanic presence. You may feel alone at times with your guild playing from 9PM-2AM (+0900 UTC). We've had a large European alliance [KISS] transfer here that decided to return to their server because they couldn't find people to group for dungeon and fractals.
- Pugs hard to work with. Our casual player base - those that don't use this forum or the TS3 server - make up about 1/2 our presence, but lack coordination and are quick to anger. We're still working to get everyone to depend on our public TS3 server like Maguuma, but it's still a work in progress. You will find the same players making inflammatory remarks and I'd have to ask you to prepare to block them.
- Diminished presence after Sunday. The majority of our server put in 40+ hours a week to compete with our population, but jobs and school have a much more apparent affect on us than other servers. We have historically placed all our efforts into maintaining a lead during the weekend for chances of it carrying throughout the week.

Being alone is fine with us. HIRE was alone for the majority of IoJ as well but we still managed to keep it up in Tier 2

Dw, we came to EB knowing of the the lack of oceanics. We chose this server because of the strong NA and EU you guys have.

I'm one of the members of HIRE and am currently in the same boat as Avis, so I can't get to experience the community first hand for another 2 weeks. But by looking through the forums you guys seem like good folk, so I'm looking forward to my stay at Ehmry.

Any allegations that are true or untrue does not matter. What matters is what you do from here on the battlefield. Petty drama on the forums will happen from time to time.
