It was pointed out to me today that we do not have a favicon so here's a request for the artistically inclined; create an ehmry.com favicon.

I tried my luck/skill with http://favicon.cc but the results were marginal at best.

There is no real rush to this but if you have a few minutes to play around with it I would sure appreciate it.

We're gonna raffle the characters to resemble guild members in the next few days.

Maybe you could do something similar!  I have no idea what a favicon is tho.

I have a thought what about the GW2 dragon but instead of Guild Wars change it to EB or EBay or Ehmry Bay if you can fit it.

Quite good but perhaps a bit too close to the one the http://www.guildwars2.com one.  It would be good to have something that's more Ehmry Bay related.  Maybe with an E and a B in it or some such.  I don't really have any good suggestions as the 16x16 px isn't much to work with and just writing Ehmry doesn't fit.

Check that site out. Make and image, upload image, creates a dynamic favicon. That's what I did for the one above, just pulled the logo off of Google and ran it through.

So you might be able to make a cool logo that will transform pretty dynamically into an attractive favicon.

I would be nice to have at least one of each race..I mean just for the balance...or maybe we could have a rotating banner that changes each time the page is refreshed.

He's not looking for a banner, just a favicon, haha. That little icon that your browser displays instead of the default, like the little page with the corner bent in Google Chrome. 16x16 pixels that represent Ehmry Bay in all of our glory.

If we actually got to keep the same color in WvWvW I'd say the GW2 dragon but in blue.

I took another crack at the favicon. Here's a preview below. Thuley, let me know if you like it and I can email you the .ico file.



I played around with the dragon behind it but it was just too busy and looked like a mess. I like it because it's simple, and yet informative. It's hard to do much better with 16x16 pixels.

Just one question how does it go copyright wise? I don't really know much on the matter but I do know www.ebgames.com uses a similar favicon/ logo. I think EBgames is called Gamestop in America.

I had a look at the EB Games one and it looks dissimilar enough to me as it is more tilted.  There's always the fair use clause too but I wouldn't think that it would apply here.  There are only so many ways to fix an E and a B into a 16 by 16 matrix.

Also, you're straight up using the GW2 logo. I think that would probably be noticed first.

Also i think the logo and theme would of been taken from a fan site kit so that would be fine. Am I right Thuley?

For the favicon to show up you need to empty your browser cache and then restart the browser.  All GW2 stuff is from the fansite kit so it's fine.  Tough I just noticed that the copyright notices are missing from the theme, will add those shortly.
