So I just went from 0-150 and I gained 2 levels, going from 22 to 24.  It appears that the crafting XP doesn't scale linearly then?  Meaning since I completed 37.5% of the crafting level range (150/400) but I only got 1/5 of the character level experience.

Will I actually get 8 more levels if I go to 400 or is it busted or am I doing something wrong?

I think it is just crafting level scalled for xp, as I am leveling with some crafting and my jeweler is level 300 odd and I get good amount of xp to level me through those luls (now at 70)

But my other crafting only level 100 get me bugger all xp at that high level.

As far as i know you can still level from 0 - 80 just crafting alone.

Yeah it still works, you just get more xp the higher the craft is. 375-400 gives a lvl  by itself for example.

I just did the same.  Went from 0 - 125 and leveled from 26 - 28. You're good.

Thanks, now I just have to figure out whether it's still worth doing.  After buying all the mats for tailoring to go from 0-150, and then selling the stuff I made, it cost about 2g total to gain two levels.  I can only assume that going further will be a lot more expensive.

If I can come in at under ~25g per 10 levels then that will work for me, if it's more than that then I'll probably just level the heart/events way.

Thuley stuff.

There are certain crafts that cost less money. I leveled to 400 cooking on about 2g. I also leveled to 400 artificial on the same amount. I've heard there are cheap ways to do something like leatherworking as well.

If you're doing it strictly for the levels then stick to the cheaper crafts. Artificing can be leveled from 0-375 without the use of fine mats and when I did it it cost me just over 1 gold (you get a good chunk of silver back every crafting tier by selling the potions you made to vendor)

As for cooking, I haven't done it myself yet but I have heard it is cheaper than most but also the most tedious and time consuming as you will be running around a lot buying ingredients with karma, gathering nodes, and TP. So if you have the time I suppose it's worth it.

There is a nice website that has guides to "efficiently" level up all crafts that I will edit this post with when I get home.

I bought everything from the TP. There was a guide on reddit that snype has bookmarked. Did it for a little over 2g

When was this? I checked out a couple of those guides and they talk about buying Sticks of Butter for like 2c each whereas the price on the TP is now 21c.  Same with pretty much all other ingredients listed.  I don't think that cooking can be leveled for 2g anymore.

Artificing was the same, the return from selling the potions didn't nearly make up for the cost of the dust alone.  Though it was still pretty cheap to get to 400.  I don't have the exact price since I had a bunch of the mats banked, but I think that it would have been less than 6-8g to get to 400.

Stuff

I probably did it last week and ran into a similar problem. The guide was for 1.7g but I think some stuff had risen in price due to that guide. Cauliflower was pretty spendy.
Artificing supplies also went up in price after the potion guide came out. Snype and drake did it for under a gold, but the last time I did it, it cost 2g.

Most of the levels from crafting are from 300-400. I reccommend using a crafting booster and waiting til Thursday or Friday before reset for optimum crafting experience. It will use less mats then the guides suggest and you can possibly get extra leveling experience. When I leveled my crafting, I had a lot of materials on hand already so it was very cheap. Artificing was especially cheap because wood is easy to farm and dust doesn't cost much.
