That's not strictly speaking true: the power switch only completes a circuit, the polarity doesn't matter. If it did you wouldn't be able to start the computer by connecting the two power pins with a screwdriver.

Funny I was going to recomend the screwdriver tactic but as I read down it got started up.
Also if you can use a different power rail for your graphics card vs other devices.  I have mine on its own rail as it is usually the heaviest draw.

The Corsair TX650 only has a single 12V rail. It should be fine unless something's broken anyway; the current generation graphics cards aren't very power hungry at all, especially when idle.

I noticed in your checklist of things you did, you didn't include connecting a cable from your power source to your graphics card. You might have just forgotten to add it, or I could be getting blind. I can't tell whether your graphics card required it or not (Mine does, and it's pretty similar to yours). You'd be looking for a six pin usually at the top of the card.

Yes, I forgot to mention, the graphics card will not be coming for another couple weeks so I decided to go ahead and build it without and add it later.

Gratz on a successful system build.  A lot of times when that happens it was just a wire the didn't make a good connection

Sounds like you had it right the first time, just one of the plugs didn't connect properly.

Glad to see it all worked out :D
