Ecto Prices rising whats a good rare to make

Hoping that I can get some advice. I have noticed ecto prices are going up and supply is dropping fairly fast. I was thinking I may try to make some rares to salvage and sell the ecto's. I know this probably won't make big profit but I will take what I can get.
Was wondering if anyone knew the most cost effective rares to make for salvage. I would imagine it was armor.. but I haven't really dug deep into it. I can pretty much craft anything but cooking up to level 400
Thanks

What you can do with AC is save up the tokens and buy the exotic weapons. Once you get four, throw them into the forge. This will guarantee you an exotic of some sort that you can sell on the TP or use. Maybe even a precursor. I plan to do this once I get my exotic water weapons.
If you ever want to run dungeons and are out of luck with a group, Haven is pretty consistently running something and we always love a good CoF or AC. Feel free to message Drake or I to see if we have an open spot in a group.
If you really want to craft, make gloves or helms in tailoring or leatherworking. Silk is so cheap it isn't even funny, same with t5 leather. I bought over 1000 silk scraps a few weeks ago for about a gold. The price is even lower now.
Where you'll hit the bad side are the t5 materials. I'd suggets buy orders. The last time I did this, I made 35 rare gloves and salvaged them all with master salvaging kits. I got about 36 ectos. I'd say I spent about 10g on fine mats, thread, and salvage kits. At the time, those ectos wouldn't have made that back. Now though, if they're at about 36s, which is where I saw them last night, it'd be about 13gold.
Another thing to look at are the prices of rares. Recently, I just bought a ton of lvl 75-80 rares and salvaged them. They were at about 22s, and the price to make them, just with the t5 materials, was more than that. I believe I made my money back when doing this, but at the time, I needed ectos for armor so I didn't even see how much they'd sell for.
Sorry that was a lot of info >.<

If that was the case, if you are salvaging rares at cost of an ecto, you will lose money on an average of 20%?
If an ecto is 38s and you plan to salvage rares for ectos at an 80% return, then to break even the cost of the rare should be 30s?
Again someone stop me if I'm thinking about this all wrong.

While the chance to get ectos from a rare may be 80%, you also have to factor in the chance of getting multiple globs. From what I've read, this brings your ecto:rare item ratio closer to .95 ectos per rare item salvaged. This means that, excluding the price of a black lion salvage kit, your break even price for a rare is closer to 36s. Again, the .95 number is not a guaranteed stat, but given my experience salvaging with black lion kits I would say it's fairly accurate

But yeah as remoirs said, the fact some success or fails yield 0-3 ectos makes the percentage 80-95%
