Brown Fang Ardour Legion is a small, PvX guild, welcoming honourable, open-minded, helpful and sociable players of all levels and creeds. Our goal is to build a fun, loyal group that helps each other explore, enjoy and engage the game. Most of our members are currently located on the east and west coasts of America, with a few members spread across the continent and elsewhere. We don't care which time zone players are in, which gender they prefer or how old they are as long as they come to have some fun with mature, open-hearted allies.

We play WvW on the Ehmry Bay server; but, welcome players from all servers for PvE and PvP camaraderie.

Our members use Skype and the ehmry.com TeamSpeak for voice communications, although text chat is most prevalent.
In WvW, on Ehmry Bay, I most often play as Ethiopia Bloodraven, capturing camps and causing havoc with guild members; although I can also be seen playing with our members on Jade Quarry and Eredon Terrace. I'm always down for good company and will gladly teach new players what I know (though my opinions don't follow the current meta). I do wave a commander tag from time to time, especially if running with guildies.
Of course, I also will respond to messages on this forum.

Note that if your ping in the game is higher than 75 you probably will have too much lag to play effectively in player versus player (PvP) or world versus world (WvW); but, we will be happy to share your company there and in player versus environment (PvE). If you don't mind, we won't sweat you.

The Brown Fang Ardour Legion is not interested in bloating its ranks with players that don't get along or play well together. We simply want be able to form a full party for play at any hour with like-minded players who aren't interested in exploiting glitches or bullying other players.

Though we consider digital gender to be irrelevant, especially in gaming, this legion is a lesbian, gay, bi, transgender, queer (LGBTQ) safe guild where who you sleep with (gay, straight or otherwise) is not an issue as long as it is between mature, consenting people who are not abusing each other. We are not a LGBTQ exclusive or CIS exclusive guild.

We do not tolerate hate speech of any kind, even in jest; although, intelligent conversation and wit are always welcome. This means that racist, sexist, ageist or homophobic remarks are grounds for dismissal from our ranks, as are trolling and bullying other players. By extension, we are not a forum for evangelism or proslytising any religion.



All of our members are expected to have seen and understood our precepts video, above. Further guild information is available in our guild Message of the Day (in game), via our Twitter feed, and through our MotD log at our site.

Our member rank structure is relatively flat, classifying by preferred part of the game (PvP/WvW/PvE/PvX) rather than privilege of seniority or favor.

Players new to Guild Wars 2 can find additional information about how to play the game on the official sites and other web sites. A good starting point is the Online Manual found on the official Guild Wars 2 site, followed by the official Wiki.

Updated this listing to reflect our recent activity. As of 14 August, 2015 we are 32 members strong, looking to expand to 40 or 50 players so that we can mount successful parties for WvW, dungeons and guild missions.

Bummed that Cedo assumed control of posting [BFAL] info on GuildEx that I, the guild founder, have no control over whatsoever. It's really the site's policy, which allows profiles to be assumed by anyone after they have lapsed into dormancy, rather than the "helpful" acts of folks like Cedo.

Unfortunate that.

Although I've asked Cedo to remove the information, within days of the above post, nothing has been done on that front transfer of the account has not yet taken place. Obviously, I'd prefer that no one use the GuildEx site or the link in Cedo's post, as I have nothing to do with what appears there or the errors therein.

Cedo has transferred control of the GuildEx account to me, with my thanks.

Still, based on the principle of my disagreement with the site's policies, I'd prefer that the GuildEx post, which I will update, be avoided and the link in Cedo's post here not be used.

Added a simple text link to our first draft of a new player welcome video. This video will be updated after HoT launches (23rd Oct.).

As of 16 November 2015 all information on this page is current, although it has not changed since the dates shown at the top of the post. We are currently a level 10 guild of 60 members. Unfortunately, due to representation and scheduling conflicts, our membership does not currently muster more than 5-15 concurrent players. Therefore, we will be continuing recruitment until we reach the 150-200 member mark. This reflects our 8-10% return rate of members who frequently represent us and are actively playing the game.

Still, it is not our intention to become an impersonal horde of anonymous members.
