Forgive me, I've been absent for awhile(2-3months). I am slightly lost as to the reason PK doesn't have exactly the most stellar repetation. Quite possibly, I am just too old and don't follow forums such as these. I've been in PK after I left a tier 1 guild as they were for a lack of a better word: anal retentive. I left a few weeks after release, joined PK on my arrival to Ebay.

To make things clear, I do not wish to create drama. Again, in my late 30's I receive enough drama at work. I just wanted view points from others outside the guild. One sided stories aren't very scientific. Suggestions, as to how I can remove the stigma, etc.

No, anything said, I will not take personally. Nor will anyone else in the guild. I only think logically, it's my job.

I appreciate your time, and any assistance you may offer.

I don't expect the most friendly thread in the world. It is something that needs to be done, however. If I was unable to take criticism, I certainly wouldn't have posted it.

I'd like to know as well actually. I support the WvW work you guys put in.

What I noticed for the past months, is the excess of ungraceful gestures of certain players who are trying to make a name for themselves through their rebellious attitude and behavior.

You don't want to follow the commander? I get it. You don't have to create a poisonous environment for the server with your negative attitude.

Anyway, I think the stigma has come from most scenarios involving the leaders/commander as unfortunate as it may seem. Since you guys are known as a WvW guild, I think to just keep doing what you're doing -- taking care of business in WvW -- and you will continue to lead by example to show that the server needs guilds like yours.

I believe most of the "pk hate" is in the past, but some people do hold grudges for long periods of time.  I myself belong to a guild that -used- to have issues with pk, but we've all reconciled, and quite support pk now. They are a loyal guild to Ehmry, as far as I've seen, and as such, they are our brothers and sisters /corny.  I also personally have never had any problems with pk, and encourage people to get over their drama and stop continuing petty hate.

It seems to me that pk's leaders and members have done a pretty good job improving their image lately and deserve credit for that. Another thread like this seems useless, and counterproductive to the work you guys have done.

I appreciate the comments, I'm not here to recruit. Just to shed light on what I missed. I am a commander in PK and one of the main officers. If that explains my intrest.

I rarely use my becon.

As an addon to magiinty's response, maybe do a search on these forums, since this thread has, essentially, been made before, but with more anger and pettiness, and that may give you more of an idea if you really feel you need to know...however, I like I said, 'tis all in the past, and as such, it may be best to leave such anger in the past and move on =)

It was not my intention to get anyone riled up. I am a directory of information technology. Hard to make an informed decision with one side of the story.

Katzyn was kind enough to point me in the right direction. I shall persue my interest elsewhere. Not this thread.

Well this is what happens when a guild/ally becomes the spotlight and has increased pressure because of it. It can take tolls on the leadership/reputation/operations of said organization. I know this because I was once the [EvIL] ally that owned Cavalon.Most times when you are in the spotlight there will be haters and that will affect members who carry around the tag. If a pk member does something wrong it can create a diff player to hate anyone with that tag. At that same thought it can go a positive route but pvp guilds sometimes turn out to be like businesses. You will start out rough but play your cards right you will be the next Wal-Mart and everyone will love you. Play it stupid you will end up like Hostess. Loved, caused people diabetes, and shut down for no reason stated.  

In the end some just need something to talk about. Kat Williams said let the haters do their mofo job to hate because thats what they do. Me personally Id rather do my wvw independently and not have to clock into work in pk. (no offense but objective guilds are rigid)

I think this thread is pretty much done and such, but to answer Madi *kneels for her Queen*, I believe the thread was started for a pretty simple reason - our OP was not around when all the drama started, and so he missed it, and rather than hearing simply the one-sided story that his guildies had to offer, he wished to gain the story of others, which, in my opinion is great, but since the hate is mostly done and gone, it's being seen as "omg, why start the drama again", which is not what he wanted, I believe.

Mistakes happen, and good intentions are being misunderstood I think.  He wasn't here to see the drama start or END, so how could he have known it was over?  I think with this all said, we should move on and stop worrying about this.  =)

Besides, we have far more important matters to be worrying about...like that Treelover guy.  Just who does he think he is to be calling himself the "Lover of Trees"?  I love trees as much as the next guy or gal, but I don't go around professing myself as THE "Lover of Trees". Psh.

And don't EVEN get me started with that Siidartha guy.  He sends me naughty PMs all day =(
