Multiguild Missions have been established! It's now a thing. We will have them weekly. This is a new thread that will serve as an announcement for any who wish to participate in the future.

Website: http://caerphoto.com/guild_bounty/#
Guild: Ehmry Bay
Player Password: ebay

This website will allow anyone affiliated with our efforts to keep track with whatever bounty they are tracking. Thank you Cyrus for finding this :P

How these will work:

Each guild assigns numbers to their members (1-15). These numbers correspond to a certain target on the list below. Any extra members are assigned to targets with asterisks. If each guild can field 15 players, then we have someone from each guild on a target right from the get-go. With the number of guilds we have participating, this is more than enough people on each target.

I numbered the targets as follows:
  • Ander “Wildman” Westward (Southsun Cove)
  • Bookworm Bwikki (Lornar’s Pass) ***
  • Brekkabek (Harathi Hinterlands)
  • Crusader Michiele (Sparkfly Fen)
  • Deputy Brooke (Snowden Drifts) ***
  • Devious Teesa (Frostgorge Sound)
  • Diplomat Tarban (Brisban Wildlands) ***
  • Half Baked Komali (Mount Maelstrom) ***
  • Poodaboo (Kessex Hills)
  • Prisoner 1141 (Iron Marches)
  • Shaman Arderus (Fireheart Rise) ***
  • Short-Fuse Felix (Diessa Plateau)
  • Sotzz the Scallywag (Gendarran Fields)
  • Tricksy Trekksa (Blazeridge Steppes)
  • Trillia Midwell (Fields of Ruin)
There are a few targets that are a little more difficult which I’ll put asterisks next to. Those would be the targets to send your “roaming parties” to. There may be some players who will get assigned to a target that isn’t chosen by any guild, but I crunched a few numbers on the probability of that happening and it’s really unlikely with seven or more guilds participating.

What if a guild doesn't have 15 players?

You need at least six players to participate. Assign six players in your guild the numbers 1-6. Player 1 will get the top bounty that appears in your guild's list of mission bounties (shows up after activation of bounty). Player 2 takes the second bounty on the list and so on until player 6 who will take the bottom bounty on the list. Make sure these players are level 80 and have map completion (or most of it at least). Any extra players would then be divided between targets that have an asterisk next to their names.

Timing:

Date/Time: 6:00PM server time on Sundays

We gather at this time to start hunting bounties and going over the methodology of how to get each guild credit. The mission itself doesn't actually start until around 6:30PM.

How can my guild be part of this?

Please announce your intent to participate below with your guild's name, guild tag, an account name to contact, and how many players you expect to field for the event (minimum 6). You must also have Teamspeak downloaded as we will be coordinating on voice in the public TS3 server ts.ehmrybay.me:9989 (no password). At least one representative for your guild needs to be present so that we can avoid any miscommunication.

Important reminders for all guilds participating:
  • Players only get credit for attacking a bounty listed for your own guild's mission. Attacking another bounty will earn them no credit.
  • Not every player will get credit for the mission. You will likely need to run another mission at another time for people who were assigned to targets that were not part of your guild's bounty.
  • Your guild will get full credit for the mission as long as at least one person attacks each bounty in the list.
Guilds Participating:
  • GH
  • TOSH
  • HC
  • CLAW
  • TEW
  • FTF
  • COR
  • QQT

I humbly suggest adding this as a recurring event to the Calendar too.

Tosh could probably do sunday nights but it'd be after my tour de waypoint runs. I still would not be able to participate though so I'd hand the torch of coordination to Cataraine.

Could we wait for a half hour after reset?

Sunday sounds good to me. I'll spread the word and see if the minions are good to go. Server time seems to be a good set timer to use...5pm server time seemed like it worked as well...

Haven took down Half-baked yesterday super easily with 6 people. I think that it would be best to keep groups for him small since he crazy scales with that fire shield. I will attempt to muster up Haven for these things whenever we decide on a time, but a few people were a little put out after last time.

I understand that completely heylo. I had to coax some members to try again this week since we failed last week. My only advice is to give reassurance that we're working the kinks out since it's still a pretty new system. Failures are to be expected a couple times til we get it right!

The only issue I have with that is if we keep the groups too small, we are limiting the event to a very small number of guilds.

Also, I think 5:30 PM may be a good time as well. It's slightly after reset, so people won't be as rushed to complete their dailies, and it's still later in the evening so plenty of people should be on.

Maybe we could try to limit the number of people that do NOT have that particular target as their bounty. So...we all send people to put eyes on every target. Just before time...a few people ping the waypoint in MAP but do not hit enter. When we activate, guilds can send their members to to their targets IF there are at least 5 people at their current location. Someone who is at one of their bounty targets pings the way point every 20 sec or so until he is dead. Each guild (who has enough members online) makes sure that their targets have enough bodies on them then send extra people to other targets that need an assist. This sounds wonky but the comm will be the issue. Can there be a better way to organize all the targets while still being sure that they get their 6.

While groups can field more than 6 people...you ONLY NEED 1 person at each of your bounties. There has to be a way for this many people to get all their needs met.

I think this is a good thing we are trying to start. I hate that some didn't get their bounty. I'll check here to see if there are additional days that those groups are going to try again. I will assist and bring as many with me as I can.

I plan to have every player on a target before we start this time, so having players move around to different targets after we start should be a non issue. It may delay us starting the event by a few minutes, but I feel it'll be more worthwhile to have everyone in position before we start rather than waiting a few minutes for people to get there after the mission is activated this time.

I noticed a HUGE jump in both CLAW and GH representation on Sunday last week (both are 400-500 player guilds, and the difference was about 20 more players in each at the same time of the day). I still have no idea what caused so many more people to play, but both guilds had many more players on Sunday evening than Saturday's. Still, if Sunday doesn't work for you, we can plan for Saturday.

So...are we at 5:30 server time on Sunday? I need to let people know. TEW can do either Sat or Sun...although we may be able to get a few more if it is on Sunday.

Menorah- I thought you were going to scheduled it later for sunday? That's right on top of our regular guild event (Tour D'Waypoint). I'm not sure if TOSH will be able to participate, though we'll try.

You can go ahead and count in FTF as well. We usually have from 40-50 members attend. Can poke myself, Noice or Basthian regarding it. Cheers!
