Teaser 1:
“Don't you know who that is!!? That's one of the legendary commanders of Tyria.”
“Really? That's amazing. I'm new to the world so I'm not really familiar with who is well-known.”
“Yeah. That person is the leader of the guild, the Five Thousand Finishers, also known as the FTF. He's one of the most gifted elementalists in the history of Tyria. Rumor has it that he's immortal. One of the only person to be proficient in all 4 elements, Noice.”
By the time the conversation ended, Noice had finished the preparations for his spell. The sky darkened ominously. Seeing this, our allies started falling back to the camp. The enemy saw them retreat and started giving chase when all of a sudden, dark shadows fell on them. They looked up and saw the cause of the shadows.
Noice had invoked one of the highest level skills in the Fire element, “Meteor Shower”.
As the flaming rocks of death fell from the sky, the opponents could do nothing but stare as a fiery death hurtled towards them.
By the time the last of the meteors had landed, there was not a single trace of the remains of the enemy.
Teaser 2:
Our small party of 6 saw the enemy numbering around 20 rapidly climbing the stairs of Etheron Hills. Seeing the enemy outnumber us so vastly, I began to feel nervous at the prospect of having to face them.
“Leave this to me. Get ready to jump in on my signal.”
All of us looked with wide eyes as a woman from our group with a somewhat reddish hair color ran at the enemy suddenly.
“Wait. You're going to get killed out there.” I called after her in worry. What was that woman doing? She doesn't think she can take on all those enemies, does she?
“It'll be fine. Just trust me and prepare to engage.”
There were no traces of hesitation in her voice. I decided to trust her, even though I was hesitant to.
As she was about to collide with the enemy, she suddenly vanished. Not a second later, I saw at least 30 dopplegangers of her appear surrounding the opposing force. The invaders stopped running and hesitated at seeing the large numbers around them.
“As expected of Lakayla. Creating and controlling 30 illusions of herself is no easy feat. Most mesmers can't even manage maintaining 7 but she's controlling these many. This probably isn't the full extent of her abilities either,” the guy beside me commented.
I was awestruck. She was an amazing person.
“Now! Jump in and route them.” The real Lakayla appeared on the really high ledge next to the stairs and made a movement. As she said her words, a large purplish sphere surrounded the enemy forces and their movements started to become extremely sluggish. Lakayla had used the space-time manipulation technique “Time Warp”. Allies within the sphere have their movement and reactions in the sphere speed up while all enemies slowed down.
With a large cry, the 5 of us started moving towards the force who were too slow to react to anything we did. We engaged the enemy who could not do anything to stop us. Quickly, I drew my daggers from their sheath and beheaded two of the enemies. As I moved on, I sidestepped the really slow attacks coming from two more invaders. I plunged my left dagger into one of their hearts. Using my right dagger, I placed a quick cut to the artery on the neck of the other invader. The enemies were killed so easily and so quickly, I didn't even need to use of the elements to do it.
Looking around, I saw that my allies had already finished off the other opponents. A pile of bodies surrounded us, unmoving and dead. The purple sphere surrounding us faded. I looked up to where Lakayla was standing, only to see her smirk. This was one dangerous woman. Gorgeous, but downright scary.
Teaser 3: (this is a semi-joke teaser

“Oh god. Not Kalkz again!”
“I know right? How long do you think he plans on attacking us?”
Once again, the commander of the enemy army, some guy named Kalkz, was attacking Bluebriar again. This was his 10th attempt in the past 5 days to take the tower and he spectacularly failed each time. In fact, each army he brought was easily twice the number of people we had defending the tower. Each time though, his army was decimated before the combined might of our army.
“I'm sick of drawing this out. Hold them off for 5 minutes. Noice, it's time to do that thing we practiced.”
“You don't mean!?” “Yes, that!”
Kalkz's army was way bigger than any army he brought before. Dozens of trebuchets were being set up in the area in front of Bluebriar.
“Surrender now or be destroyed.”
A cry was heard from within the tower.
“You may break these walls, but you will never break our spirit. Do your worst.”
Kalkz's eyes narrowed and he smirked as if he had won already.
“So be it. Trebuchets, fire!”
A storm of trebuchet fire was launched into the area and hit the walls of Bluebriar. The shots were powerful enough to make tremors go throughout Bluebriar. After a few volleys, cracks started appearing on the wall and I knew that it would not hold much longer. Thankfully, we were in the final stages of preparing our spell and just needed 30 seconds more to finish. One more volley hit the wall and it crumbled before our eyes, leaving the tower open to the massive army that was coming.
“Charge, men!”
“And women!” A few people from Kalkz's army shouted at being forgotten.
“And women...,” Kalkz said hesitantly. I could only sweatdrop at what happened. Fortunately, that interruption gave me and Noice the last few seconds we needed for our spell. All we had to do was wait for them to go into range.
Kalkz's army started charging into the opening in the wall created by the trebuchet fire. They didn't get 10 meters into the tower when me and Noice unleashed our spell.
Frostfire Spell “Cold Hell”. This spell was a high-caliber original spell created from my affinity to water combined with Noice's high proficiency in fire. It was a dual-element spell that rapidly decreased the temperature of an area to absolute zero and transferring the heat into another area to make it as hot as the sun. To be honest, me and Noice never tried it before now due to it being killing anyone caught in its effect, and we didn't want any of our allies to accidentally get themselves killed. Now, it's full force was being used against Kalkz's army.
(A/N: I got the idea from a light novel “Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei”. ^^)
The half of the army that got inside Bluebriar were turned into frozen statues. They probably didn't have the time to realize that they had died from the intense cold. The other half of the army that was still trying to get in were instantly reduced to ashes as temperatures beyond comprehension incinerated them in an instant. Thankfully, the carnage was reduced to the affected areas only. We risked killing ourselves too but the risk payed off in the end.
After that battle, Kalkz didn't show up in our borderlands for a long time. (No one dies permanently in the Mists)
Side-story 1: Hawkeye
At the moment, most of guildmates were either sleeping in Lion's Arch, exploring the world of Tyria or trying to fight the Risen at the Cursed Shore. As for me, it was another day in the Mists.
Right now, I am trying to defending the outer gate to Ascension Bay along with 8 others. The gate was already open but me and my comrades were holding the breach. Unfortunately, the battle was at a deadlock. The enemy outnumbered us by around 9 people. Fortunately, we had a few guardians on our side who all used the defensive skill “Line of Warding”. Line of Warding was a simple yet effective skill that most guardians learn. It condenses the magic of the Mists into a really thin transparent wall that prevents people from moving past it.
Unfortunately, the Line of Warding doesn't prevent projectiles from passing through it, so we've been bearing the brunt of fireballs and arrows courtesy of the enemy elementalists and rangers. We've been holding the line for a few minutes now since thankfully our warriors had shields, but we've been slowly wearing down ourselves. In a few more minutes, our line will fall and the Bay will go with it.
I began to lose hope. It would take a miracle to defend the Bay.
“Looks like I got here just in time.” A voice was heard behind us. I turned around to see who it was and could not believe my eyes. If it was him, victory was definitely possible.
The person who arrived was one of the most well-known people in Tyria. His name was Hawkeye and he was one of the commanders of the guild Collector of Souls. He was one of the best thieves around and he is as skilled as he is loud.
(A/N: I couldn't help but put that in. Hahahaha

“Commander Hawkeye, can you help us?,” one of my teammates asked.
Hawkeye just raised an eyebrow. “Help you? Just leave it all to me,” Hawkeye said with a smug face.
Hawkeye ran up the stairs along the outer wall of the Bay. Once he reached the top, he concentrated a little and suddenly, he vanished before our eyes. Of course, it was impossible for him to vanish. What just happened is one of the best known abilities of thieves, the power of stealth. By gathering magic from the Mists, thieves are able to become invisible to the naked eye by refracting light off themselves or directly blocking light. Of course, if you pay attention, you'll notice something odd in your vision, and most people would recognize it as a sign of a thief stealthing. Hawkeye, however, was one of the foremost masters of stealth and even highly observant people would probably not notice him even if he was right in front of them.
Quickly but silently, Hawekeye moved right into the middle of the enemy formation and began preparing for his massacre. Due to tunnel vision, the enemy didn't notice him until he dropped his stealth and began his killing spree.
Flipping his cloak away, he revealed what was hidden underneath. Daggers of all shapes and sizes were hidden in straps lined along his shirt. This equipment could only mean one thing: Speed-kill technique “Dagger Storm”.
Dagger Storm was a skill that not many thieves can do. It requires total awareness of everything around you and the ability to be able to accurately hit all enemies even while you are spinning around. It was a twirl of death that required utmost skill and speed to execute.
As quick as lightning, Hawkeye gathered the daggers on his person and quickly spun around while throwing each one. Each dagger hit true and pierced the heart of every person who was trying to assault the Bay. As quick as it had started, the battle had ended.
“You know, they should have at least brought twice the number in order for me not to be embarrassed talking about it,” Hawkeye complained to us after he killed them all. For me, however, I was amazed at how skilled he is. I have a lot of work to do in order to reach that level of power.
