So with the new patch comes the ability to craft all-stat Armor. And I want to get everyone's opinion on the usefulness of an all-stat gear since now we have both Armor and Trinkets.
Basically I thought about giving my Guardian Celestial trinkets a while back, but decided against it. In my opinion it's much better to specialize gear according to your build and what you want to be doing with said build.
However I know some builds rely on Celestial Ascended trinkets and Runes of Divinity.
So what do you guys think? Is it a good idea to get full Celestial? Witch builds, professions would benefit from it? Witch will not?

I can see Elementalists possibly having a use for it.

meh, it makes me think "i dont know what direction to go with my build" mentality. Cant think of a great buikd with it just some ok ones. It is PvE oriented.

The only class I can think of is elementalist, but I haven't done any theory crafting with it. I did get one of the Ascended Divinity rings, so I might see if I can make something work, but I'm sorta with Bob in that specialization is probably best.

It really depends on what the stat to critical damage % is.
Celestial equipment has really great ratios already, but it can only really be used to its fullest in builds that take advantage of a majority of the stats, which is why celestial is good for elementalists.
I can see it being useful for certain Necro builds too, since they have a crapton of conditions on their weapons anyway even if going for a power build.

I already have ascended celestial trinkets for my elementalist and I like what it does for me.
I'm a little worried that full armor would impact survivability pretty badly, but I want to get a set anyway since it's what I've wanted for a long time. More overall stats, after all, it'll give me more damage, but less condition damage (from apothecary's), and less healing. I wanted to try healing stacks to compensate on that front but otherwise, it'll be interesting.

I already use celestial trinkets when I am running my FT build. I suppose they are kind of generalist but they seem to work well for me, I wanted to maintain the tankiest build I could while having some offensive punch and they let me do that. I don't think I will benifit any further from adding celestial armor to the mix though. Both grenade kit and bomb kit have a lot of split damage (benifiting from both power/crit damage and condition damage) so maybe there is some use for it there. I'm going to have to take a look at it.

FFFFFFFFU
THE INSIGNIAS ARE ACCOUNT BOUND.
If the weapons and armor themselves are also bound, that's 40 days before I can get a full armor set and two daggers.
FUCK.
EDIT: Every piece of crafted celestial equipment is account bound. So I have to wait 40 days for a full celestial set.
Haaaaaate.
