Hey all! I'm going to be running another big server event with plenty of prep time for y'all! This one is going to be just for funs, and kind of experimental



Objective: Race from Point A to Point B in Quaggan Tonic Form, the whole way. Choose the safest, most efficient route for yourselves, but there will be a few check points to check in at. But it will be mainly an honor system, please don't cheat! Quaggan Tonics for the whole time. Top Three winners get prizes!

First Place: 5 g from me + 50% of all participation fees
Second Place: 2 g from me + 25% of participation fees
Third Place: 1 g from me + 25% of participation fees
Lucky Number Draw for non-winning participants: Mystery Prize drawn at the end of the race


Where: From Lion's Arch (Trader's Forum) to Cursed Shore (Caer Shadowfain)

When: Sunday, July 21st, 12pm Server PDT / 3pm EDT



Need:

- A 15 silver participation fee, you're welcome to donate more, this will go to fund the winner prizes, the more people the higher stakes, so please invite all your friends, guildies etc!

- Minimum of 12-15 QUAGGAN TONICS (Let's do a Get-Your-Quaggan-Tonic Day THIS Sunday, July 14th, 12pm Server PDT) Who doesn't want to stock up on these tonics anyway

- Recommended: level 80, tanky character?



Rules:

- Quaggan Form at all times, there will be check points, check in there with the volunteer, there will especially be one at all portals from zone to zone, who will check to make sure u put on the quaggan tonic again before starting! (Need volunteers!)

- No Waypointing of course! If you die, WP to the closest WP you PASSED, i.e. north of you, when we are moving south, EAST of you, during the sideway path through Orr

- No skills/utilities/food/consumable/items/speed buffs/traits (like air attunement trait) used! Essentially you must be at NORMAL run speed, and focus on selecting the most efficient and safest path etc

- Of course, no escorts

- Party up, keep each other following the rules

- Mostly honor system, so, I trust you guys on this, since you guys are eBay the best community in the world ^^ I do hope it will be fun and though there's a nice prize involved, we won't resort to dishonesty to get it!




Conclusions:

Hope it'll be fun and epic! I'm looking for a few volunteers to man checkpoints! Also if you have any questions, suggestions, concerns, comments, about this do let me know, like if you think it won't work... xD It is experimental after all




HERES THE MAPS! Other than Lion's Arch. X Marks a checkpoint person. I will have someone at those locations for race peoples to run by The first X on the map is where people exit from the previous map. Ovals in non-LA maps are exit points/portals of the map! Also runners look for Commander tags

Quick Question, if no consumables are allowed, how are we "legally" allowed to use the Quaggan Tonic? :L

you should put the min amount (1 per zone) for ppl who dont feel like looking it up. also do the tonics have time limit or any other thing to be accounted for?

I am unaware of a time limit it never run out for me , i personally dont think theres time limit but I'm not sure I will research. I think 1 per zone is enough already though, it won't that THAT long to run across the zone at running speed haha but I will check and try it out. Also from what I know u stay in  form while you're attacked, but I haven't tried that in a long time. I'm sure other ppl will know but I will check

So yeah the tonics are infinite from what ive been reading and personal experience but will need one per zone

I'm looking for volunteers, mainly commanders representing their guilds that participate

Speaking of that you know the quaggan show in labyrinthe cliffs? Rofl I turned into quaggan, put out the quaggan mini pet impostor and then vomited on the audience whenever he was breathing fire hahahahaha xDDD

Do you stay in tonic form if you get killed and rez? If not, might need a few extra tonics for those annoying zones where that's a possibility.

Nope, you don't. You can however die and then use a quaggan tonic (Poor dead quaggan). Waypointing after doing that will still keep you in quaggan form unless you waypoint to a different map.

Yep, I'm going to recommend at least double the amount needed, and they're quaggan tonics after all, who wouldn't want to stock up on them LOL

Also I do hope people won't die, because it's actually not that easy to die with a lvl 80 even in those orr zones. The objective is to pick and find a safe, and efficient route to win the race

I knew(and love) the part about using a tonic after dying, i do that in dungeons if no one can rez me. Poor dead dolyak. :3

It's not that hard to stay alive with if you have movement skills and utilities, but y'all are gonna be defenseless slow quaggans.

Well I'm saying that because I tried haha I ran through an Orr map before as a quaggan xD usually you will pull maybe two mobs at most if u pick a good path :3 You do still have dodges also though

I also remember the WvW quaggan zerg, though theres a lot of people, most quaggans didn't die that quick even under the heavy dps xD

It will still be tough and slow though

Update in rule, basically the rule is normal run speed and your objective is choose the best route while checking in at the points to win
