- Reina emerges from the underground mines / caves in Kessex Hills for the first time in days on her trek to Lion's Arch and stumbles upon lone wandering ranger, Mia Serrak, injured by collapsed rocks. (July 29th) Travels to Lion's Arch with Mia as guide. Mia struggles with new fears encountering the Risen for the first time. Reina reveals why she is on the run from the Seraph. Mia tames her first pet wolf. Stays at Lion's Shadow Inn. Reina grapples with poor living conditions. (August 2nd)
- Unable to sleep, Mia meets Flora Tenderleaf coincidentally on a stroll and exchanges a long conversation. Flora mentions a calling towards Mount Maelstrom which might hold clues to her Dream and Wyld Hunt. Mia injures her already-weakened leg once again, down a steep drop. (August 2nd-3rd)
- After walking off some uneasiness from her nightmare, Mia and Reina meet up at Crow's Nest Tavern that night for a hope of meeting Reina's Canthan contacts who could point her in the right direction. They don't show up, however, Reina coincidentally meets Daetha once again, who had been separated during their passage through the mines in Kessex Hills. She is horrified to learn from Daetha that their other companion in the mines might have been killed. Meanwhile, Diegovich, Dusk and Antogony, regulars at the tavern, exchange conversations and some arguments about politics, dragons and complain about the lack of action for mercenaries in Lion's Arch. Overhearing, the conversation between Daetha, Reina and Mia, Diegovich introduces himself as a privateer and offers his ship and services to Reina and the group. Daetha, not saying much and keeping to herself, bids a cold farewell, leaving Reina as lost as ever. Mia and Reina stumble home under the effects of alcohol and the party separates, unaware their fates may have been tied together. (August 3rd)
- Lost on the streets and shores of Lion's Arch, Reina and Mia takes a swim to freshen up. Mia finds an old rusty iron chest from the bottom of the sea floor and drags it to shore, recognizing a familiar symbol. After a debate whether to open it or not, they discover its contents contains documents and maps recording events of GW1 Tyria and relates to Mia's ancestry. With interpretation help from Reina's studious background, they realize one particular worn leather bound book with carefully etched handwriting and hastily scrawled diagrams also contains something that resembled Dwarven runes mentioning the word Deldrimor and Ascalonians. They part ways with Mia deciding to head to Ascalon and Reina needing to find her Canthan contacts first. (August 5th)
- After separating from Mia, Reina takes some time off to contemplate at a seaside cafe-bar and encounters Flora. They exchange a long and philosophical conversation in the sea breeze and spray of waves, about the Wyld Hunt, pre-determined destinies and potential freedom to live life as they wish. They bid each other farewell and blessings towards their journeys. (August 5th)
- After her conversation with Reina, Flora saw Mia's sudden and mysterious departure for Ascalon. Driven by curiosity, she followed her. Guided by an ancient map of Tyria, they travelled to the flooded ruins of Ascalon City itself, where Mia found a second chest with the same symbol as the first, opening it to find armor, weapons and even more old books and papers. As she was about to turn back for Lion's Arch, she noticed a figure on the other side of the lake, who disappeared by the time she realized it was there. Despite Flora's desire to chase after it, Mia decided return to Lion's Arch to consult Reina on the contents of the books. Flora followed reluctantly, telling Mia that if they saw the figure again, she would chase after it whether Mia came with her or not. (August 6th)
- At the seaside cafe, Reina meets up with Mia once again and they are approached by a man by the name of Commander Vinava who claims to be looking for Reina Takayama with a letter to deliver. Reina finds out Vinava's men had been murdered and reads a letter left by her mother. Meanwhile, Mia mysteriously seems to recognize Vinava as well. Flora also joins the party. In extreme danger, Reina on the other hand, hurries to leave but is stopped by both Vinava and Mia, who will join her in her escape. They hire Captain Diegovich, who will set sail with them towards the dangerous shores of Orr at dawn the day after tomorrow. (August 11th)

- At the Lion's Shadow Inn, Reina is packing her belongings and preparing for the journey ahead under the watchful eye of Vinava. Necros Stalker (Calagito) happens to be looking for a place to rest after his return from Orr and overhears Reina mention Orr. After being under the wary scrutiny of the two, he warns them of dangers and offers his expertise as a guide in Orr.
Upon Necros leaving the inn, soon after, the inn's door is kicked down by a bounty hunter searching for Reina Takayama, alerting them to the posters pinned up around the city. He knocks out the rest of the patrons with gas grenades including Flora Tenderleaf who came to investigate the commotion knowing it is where Mia and Reina stays. Reina and Vinava hide while the bounty hunter (Captain Tumbles) plants bombs around the inn, only concerned for the bounty. They manage to escape under Reina's stealth and clone magic and run towards the caves nearby.
Stumbling in, they realize it is an ogre's den and manage to hide in the deepest part of the caves climbing up rock walls. Captain Tumbles interrogates a waking Flora Tenderleaf about Reina's whereabouts and tries to recruit her in his bounty hunting. She refuses and manages to escape after an argument. Vinava and Reina, meanwhile, realize they need to leave the city and dodging past the angry ogres, they follow the waterway out. There, they see Flora Tenderleaf who had tracked them from the voices of the ogres and Flora leads the party, telling them the bounty hunter knew the captains at the docks and has gone to talk to Captain Diegovich.
Believing that the plan to sail to Orr with Diegovich may be compromised, she claims to know how to leave the city safely and together they swim across the harbour, climbing to the top of the heights at Diverse Ledges. Long realizing that they were being possibly tailed by other bounty hunters, Flora suddenly pushes Reina off the cliff to her supposed death much to Vinava's shock and grief. Flora and Vinava fight and the Sylvari ends up falling off the cliff, but in reality, joins Reina in a safe ledge and small cavern as Flora had instructed.
Vinava is left to grieve over Reina's death and his failure of his obligations to fulfill the duties of his dead Canthan comrades. Word is leaked that Reina is dead and leaves many bounty hunters looking for her corpse and still, some others suspicious of the happenings. For the most part, there are less searching for an alive Reina. Flora and Reina begin to devise a plan to gather other trustworthy party members and steal Captain Diegovich's ship to make their escape from the city. (August 25th)
