I was almost done writing this really long WvW idea thread, which was probably over a thousand words long, when I accidentally pressed "back," and the browser instantly went back a page and erased an hour's worth of writing (which is why I am frustratingly attempting to rewrite it on MS Word right now).

I don't like writing an article or thread on an external program/page, because I don't have to manage the formatting from top to bottom after copy-pasting it (and I don't have to copy-paste it), so if I may make a suggestion, maybe you can add a simple message that says "Are you sure you want to leave this page? Your thread/reply has not yet been posted," with a "Yes or No" option, when attempting to leave the page while creating a thread or replying to one without having posted the typed content yet.

Either that, or a save/draft feature for threads that you don't want to post yet or haven't finished writing. Granted, the former suggestion seems much easier.

:)

Heh, I hear ya, sadly we are limited to the functionality the forum software provides and such confirmation isn't built-in.

If you are crafting a long post, I would suggest writing it in a different program (e.g., Word, or even a text editor like Notepad), and then copying/pasting it into your post. That's what I usually do.
