Hopefully the new method will be rewarding for all!

As for the Living Story, it will resume Jan. 13 of next year.

Wintersday will start Dec. 16, but will be located in Divinity's Reach this year. The content will be the same as last, but with updated rewards.

Finally, WvW rules mix up starting Dec. 16 and will be going for a month. No white swords and Points Per Kill. sharpen your blades and your eyes. The Hunt starts soon.

Somewhat mixed feelings about the dailies/monthly, but I do like that ANet is trying to make them a little more interesting.

December is the last month that monthly achievements will exist.  No more 10 laurels every month.

Can still earn your daily laurel, so there's 28 per month right there.

Aren't you already overflowing laurels by this point?

I certainly am and I am sure there are things I can buy with them. But you know... The F in Fraani stands for Frugal.

I have 18 laurels right now.  I blame Goedulf and ascended armor for my brokeness.

Ascended armor, ascended trinkets i still have 4 toons about to properly stack-up + am greedy and want to still have alot to get t6 mat bags for legendary or to sell.

New daily setup, what's the general concensus? Love it or hate it, still getting used to it?

After the first day, it seems it's quicker to get dailies now, but if you're strick PVE your options are limited.  Thoughts?

Got me into PvP for the first time in nearly a year. And I find PvP to be the storage place for people who don't want to play GW2.

Am liking the set up and how the table is shown on progress, the rewards so far....the 1 tome of knwledge coming after 4 days but otherwise for now its a little tedious having to run ard to do the pve dailies...the WvW i dont mind i enjoy capping stuff there...pvp guardian win, necro win what if someone didnt have one...and couldnt roll one...kinda meeehh.

You only have to do three to match the old rewards.  Everything else is a bonus.  If you can't manage to do three of these dailies, then you need to try Solitaire or something.  I like the new daily rewards fine, but the login rewards kinda rub me the wrong way.  It just seems really pointless to reward people for simply logging on each day.

It's really easy for regular WuvWuv players to get dailies because they never change the daily activities for WvW. The others I think require a little more effort (or at least more legwork).

The PVE dailies are very zone specific, and recycler hasn't been one of the dailies since the change.

I like having the experience rewards as an item, whether it's xp scrolls or tomes. I used the old daily system to help level my alts, because they gave a good chunk of xp for finishing one. The problem with the old way was you got the xp reward right away, so if I wanted my alts to have it I had to play them first and finish my dailies before doing anything else. If I completed a daily category on my main, it was basically wasted xp. Now however, I can use any character and pass the experience on to the current alt, or whoever needs it. This is good.

It does feel a little limiting with only four options for each gamemode. Not much choice if I don't like one of the ones listed, or don't want to wait 2 hours for Claw of Jormag or other world boss to spawn. Another downside is now that the events are specific to a zone, that one zone is so packed full of people it feels like you can never find any events to do. The other day there must have been 50 players escorting the harvesters in Caledon Forest! Normally that event was rarely done. Bringing focus to different maps is good, but this feels like too much at the moment.

As for the login rewards replacing the monthly, I like it. Honestly, it really makes no difference for someone like myself who plays frequently. It's way better for those who don't play as often, since it doesn't reset until it's complete. A friend I play with never bothered to do the monthlies because he felt he didn't play enough to get it done. (Although I consider it easy) With the new system, he will get those rewards at some point, even if it takes two months or longer. Of course, the more often you play the more often you'll reset the reward track.

So, overall I think the changes in the system are good, and pointed in the right direction. They just need to fine tune the details.
