As some of you know, I took a new job December 1 and I have literally been working 80+ hour weeks ever since.  However, things are easing up now and I'll be catching up on PMs and housekeeping over the next few days.

Ha ...., it's a salaried position, so I work 80 but get paid for 40 ...

Still, it was only 80 because I am new and needed to catch up on stuff quickly, and because there were some unscheduled outages that had to be dealt with.  The norm is 45-50 hours and I am starting to get there.

40-50 is much more reasonable, over 80 and it is easy to get burned out, and hard to have a life.  Although usually the places that are that demanding pay well.
