This build circles around bleed stacking and utilizing your fears in achieving maximum condition damage output. It has 70% condition duration and 40% bleed duration (Superior Rune of Krait and Hemophilia trait). Using DS 3 and Staff 5 are your primary bombs which ticks for 1.2k+ if the opponent has any conditions.

Standard Skill rotation:
Start with signet of spite then staff 2 and staff 3, switch to your Scepter/Dagger and use 2 and 5 and then pop death shroud then use 2, 5 and 3. Go back to scepter and press 2 then switch to staff and spam 5. It should be done in a fast succession making your opponent locked down in fear status.

What counters this build: x/f Eles, power chillmancers, PU Phantasm Mesmers, CC spamming warriors, a good pew pew ranger who knows what he is doing

50-50: x/x+gs Warriors, lockdown mesmers, perplexity thieves, shatter mesmers, d/d eles, d/p blind spamming thieves, meditation guardians

Did I say I love you?  I Feel at one with another Necro on here *sniff*.  I'm a power necro whore, I love it to death, never played anything else but that since release and of my 4300 hours 4275 of them are necro and all that lol...The rest were probably witch costume.    But when I play conditions from a powermancer point of view its chills, fears blinds, which is much different then bleeds and scepter play.  Will watch

Condi necro isn't cheese. It has a learning curve on how to play it unlike most condition classes and power classes. And it takes more skill than that of a 1 spamming power necro =P.

I categorically reject the phrase "condi cheese". I find the only people claiming cheese are the people too lazy or unwilling to change their builds to deal with it.

Condi is as legit as direct damage, and I say that as someone who mainly runs zerker.

So you sling those condis with pride, gurl!

I just think its a funny term. Conditions are a legitimate form of game play (otherwise they wouldn't be in the game), and are quite balanced to me throwing my wet macaroni noodles at you. You then get the condition of "Ew, mushy wet noodle guts". I've never taken the term seriously and have never by any means felt that conditions are easy mode. Engineers are complicated, that's why not many people actually play with them. The trade off is my conditions to those who do direct damage. Its usually those who can crit for 14k who complain about 'condi cheese'. Most people like that don't understand that my regular attacks, minus conditions, hit for like 200 points of dmg. So don't you worry sir, I don't usually take condi cheese to heart and like to pretend I'm Sheogorath.

I have the same stance as Biff. People just don't like that they can't optimize entirely for damage and would have to trait into condie clears for them to be effective. What's funny is that half the time condie builds can't take other condies from enemy sources - that's why when I used to play condie necro, plague signet used to be one of my favorite skills - not only could you stunbreak and clear all your condies, but if the enemy stacked 25 bleeds, 2 minutes of poison, 10 stacks of torment, 5 stacks of confusion, and a minute of burning, they can enjoy having it ALL thrown back at them. Condie and boon reversal was one of my favorite aspects of necro back in the day.

I run power on my main necro now, because Dagger = fun. That doesn't mean that my 2nd necromancer isn't condie though... (evil laugh)

Only have one necro toon in my collection for the time being...  Have played the pvt tank necro, leveled up using minion master, but currently I running a condi/power/fearmancer hybrid that's fairly fun and great for fear trolling eotm

I just like to make more under-geared toons and do duels with them. I did a 2v2 GvG with an under-geared necro against ICEE, DOG and Powa.

I'm also playing an undergeared zerk lockdown mesmer. Funny thing is we win against most ascended geared duelists may it be 1v1s or 2v2s.

Also, it makes winning gvgs sweeter. I am into that feel. The pleasure of winning when you are clearly the underdog.

In this video, I changed my gear mixes from rabid/dire to carrion/dire in order to utilize some skills that rely heavily on power. Trait distribution remained the same.

Carrion can work really well on Necro builds.

I was using it in sPvP. It gives me more breathing space there. I think 2.4k armor in WvW isn't bad as well I suppose using a dire/carrion mix. I don't know how it will fare against d/d and x/f eles though.
