Hello! I'm brand new to MMOs but not gaming in general, and what I've learned so far is that this was a BIG MISTAKE and I'm probably gonna become even more of a recluse than I was before... I think I'm starting to worry my roommates...

I've only played solo up to this point but I just got my main char (Rinnean, engi) over lvl 30 and I'm super excited to start doing some different stuff and meeting new people. I have a warrior started too but she's only at 12 at the moment, gonna do some major leveling this weekend with both of them.

I'm really hoping to make some friends here since I don't have many irl friends with similar (read: nerdy) interests, so please feel free to talk to me whenever!! (I'm a young teacher and most of my colleagues are married with babies, not too interested in talking about this sorta thing... amazingly enough...)

Hello~ Welcome to the Bay and Welcome to the forums. My Main is an Engi too. I'm stoked when I see people choose engi as thier main.If you are looking for a guild You are welcome to join mine its a small guild (If not, not big deal). I'll give you whatever tips I can on Engi.

Ahh I might!! Engi is so fun so far, omg. First two chars I made were a thief and a ranger but I got kinda bored with both, but engineers have SO MANY OPTIONS, like TOO MANY?? I'm loving flamethrower and turrets though, I'm sure I'm obnoxious as heck to ppl in-game. It's definitely gonna take some time for me to get used to all the gadgets so I more than likely will end up coming to you, haha.

Seeing as you have some very capable engineer tutors I won't offer, but if you need any advice on your warrior feel free to ask away!

Otherwise, ill see you in WvW when you realize that its the best part about this game (well aside from pvp)

Anyways, seeing as your gonna be friends with Silvers and Kookings, we shall certainly met and probably roam in WvW and whatnot soon.

If you wanna level that Engi come with me tonight in Eotm...I'll supply some food and tools to help you speed it up.
I should be on ard 9pm EST.
Hint...you could be dropping an elite crate into a blob of red ennemies priceless...

And like Antioch-dono...my main is a Warrior, got 2 wars actually so I can TRY to answer your question marks there.

Haha! Yeah, I avoided the cabbages for a while bc I thought they seemed kinda goofy (PLANT BOOBS) but I caved and made one and now I love her... My little flamethrower leaf kid...

Welcome to Ehmry Bay! Engi is my first class as well; I love it, even if I don't play it as much anymore (I have a lot of toons and I play all of them). He's still my main for the story stuff, though.

If you ever decide you want to join a guild, there are a lot that are always recruiting here in the Bay.

Feel free to ask for advice/help on anything as well

My engi is one of two characters that I levelled from 20 to 80 exclusively in WvW.  Never mind that I've hardly touched him since.

Haha! I love asurians too, I'm thinking next character I roll is gonna be one, haven't decided what class yet. But yeah, basically I'm a huge lore nerd in whatever game/world I'm involved in and I have this whole backstory in my head where my sylvari is dawn cycle to the extreme and loves running around and exploring and learning new technologies in different lands, and I imagine she would much rather be surrounded by machines and new technology than the glowy trees and flowers she was born into.
