Hmm I wonder if a PvP university would be helpful for anyone.
It wouldn't really be practical. (More on why in a moment...) The best thing would just be to find a mentor.

There's some good stuff on QQMore, but most of it is
very entry-level, and a lot of it isn't really sPvP-specific (e.g. safe stomping techniques). The presentation is pretty good, but there's a lack of depth to the content in general, which isn't really intended as a criticism of Kuhrer; it's just not really possible to go into great depth from the armchair. Success in sPvP mostly depends on experience, mechanical skill, and having the correct mindset; "book knowledge" can't really take you all that far.
If you want to become good at sPvP, you need to put time into it. Play a lot. Watch top teams play in competitive tournaments. Practise 1v1's, but always use meta conquest builds, not tailor-made duelling builds or counter-builds or shitty "my own creation" builds, and to whatever extent possible, also practise
against meta conquest builds. Play a lot. Try to find better players who will play with you on voice comms if possible, and benefit from their experience. Try to fight against better players, get rekt, and when you do get rekt, don't make excuses about the other team's builds or the PuG's on your team or anything else you can't control--just focus on what you could have done better. Play a lot.
Being good at sPvP is basically a combination of just general
being good at GW2 mechanics, knowing
all of the class matchups inside-and-out, and understanding how to rotate. All of that stuff requires practise and experience, and moreover, that you reflect on that practise and experience with an appropriately critical mindset. You can write guides that scratch the very surface-level basics, like
my recent post on rotations, but there is an incredible amount of nuance beyond what such a guide can accomplish, and it's familiarity with that nuance that really separates players.
This is one of
the most informative things I've ever seen for sPvP, but you really need a fair amount of experience to even be able to appreciate how valuable Helseth's analysis is. Whatever people may think of his on-camera persona, Helseth is one of the best tactical minds in GW2, and he has an excellent critical mentality. Beyond all the specific insight analyses like this can offer, the most important thing you can take away is probably just to try to apply that same analytical mentality to your own matches.
