Hi people im Jen, im looking for a new home for my guild, we are in SoS atm and we need to escape from T2 lol.

We gonna transfer this weekend, and i need if someone can give me some info about WvW situation here, we are a roaming/havoc guild mostly, but we have groups running all the timezones.

So basically i need to know how its the population, ours and enemy, i dont wanna be in a wasteland.

My guild is called Ninja Tactics [OP] and i heard some SoS guilds are already here, which is nice :D

I remember when we tried to come up with a recruiting line for Ehmry Bay and how to not make it all sound the same.

So along with all the other normal stuff, the biggest highlights for me have been that we have a ton of people that have been loyal to Ehmry Bay since the beginning. We have even more that have left and returned. We have commanders that aren't morons or egomaniacs and a ton of people that don't take it overboard. We've gone months without drama (save for the tiny spat recently) and a ton of WvW veterans. All that is asked is be respectful of those that have been here forever, and you'll be welcomed with open arms.

At the end of the day, do you want to be just part of a server? Or something better?

Hi Jen,
I remember seeing [OP] around on SoS, but don't I think I interacted with you all at any point.
There have been quite a number of guilds that have moved here from SoS in the last few months, [Zerg], [GH], [KoNo], [OTBS], [TV], [Vale] now known as [GODS], [Rekz]. (sorry if I forgot anyone!)

My take on the population seems to be basically a SoS junior. We're light on EU time, there will be a lot of times when ebg or homebl will get blanked out by either HoD or Nsp or both if they backcap :dodgy: but we usually have enough roamers around especially from [Zerg] and [Ebay] on homebl to recap quickly and try to hold on till NA. NA prime time things pick up as the organized zerg busting groups start to get on [Woe], [CoT], [GH], [TV], [GODS], [oG], [PS], [Raid], etc.

Don't know much about our ocx and sea, I've heard mostly havoks are on like [Bdsm] and [Icee], although we seem to do well in those times to hold on to our points, [Asia] is now running in sea time as well.

HoDB has better coverage at the moment, NSPPT coverage is about the same as ours, Nsp tends to have decent roamers/havoks, HoD tends to do that in packs.

I have to say the move has been the best for [Zerg] as we got away from the blobs of T2 and actually able to do stuff as a havok group, and find more enemy groups around our numbers, although we still run into the odd zerg or blob that tries to chase us off their maps lol.

We may fall back to T5 soon, since DB has gotten some transfers again and may be bigger than us now, but T5 wasn't that bad either when we first got here.

Lastly, I would suggest sending a scout over to check things out for a few days to see for yourselves if it's what you're looking for.

Cheers and good luck.

If you're playing well on a tier 2 server coming to Ehmry Bay (bottom of tier 4) will be a cake walk for ya.

I play WvW on Jade Quarry and Ehmry Bay. The difference in tactics and population is telling. Recently, we've had a lot of improvement in how we approach the game; but, we have been getting owned by the other 2 servers in our tier for some weeks now.

The challenge of helping us improve and taking us to the next level is a very worthy one. Whatever choice you make, we're sure to improve our standing in the coming months. As I said, we are improving :).

Have fun out there.

Xheal pretty much covered it all in great detail.
This is a good place to be for roaming/havoc.  We have a fair number of roamers, and havoc groups already.  If you are on at a time when coverage is lighter, it helps to have part of your guild or party who is able to let people know who are on other maps.
There are times when you can solo SM, and there are times, when you need 50 guys to take it.  So when you play will determine what you are up against more than who you play.
I have generally found that even when there are large groups, I can still wander around and flip some camps, but it requires speed and sneakiness.

Welcome Jen.

Xheal's was a good post, but just to follow up:

[EBAY] has a number of oceanics as well, but the guild as a whole is very casual.  Some nights we have an organised group going, others we're just a handful of roamers.

Pretty much.  We outnumber NSP in oceanic time, they outnumber us in EU, HoD outnumbers us all the time.

It's still reasonably competitive most of the time though.  The PPT can swing around a bit by timezone but it balances out a bit overall.  While we've usually been coming in 3rd for a while now, it's never really a total blowout.  And of course being the smallest server in the tier means you'll get plenty of fights. :)

From what I've seen, we're not getting owned; we're getting outblobbed. Every time I venture into WvW, it's the same shit—HoD and NSP refuse to engage until they outnumber you four to one. Like, invariably. They will run and run and run until they can assemble a blob, and then they'll turn and "fight," i.e., beat you by running you over rather than with tactical cleverness. The only ones who'll fight individually/small-scale are the cheese mesmers and DD eles who are more skilled at hiding and running away than anything else.

My experience has been that they often have scouts at the capture points of the map (solo or duo) who are evasive until they are able to call in support. The stealthy mesmers and thieves work well as scouts. They not unorganized cowards who just happen to flee into the safety of zergs: they are players who volunteer to bait us into fights we can not win. They also assure that positions that have been captured stay captured, rather than being flipped by roamers. Unfortunately, a lot of us think the answer to this tactic is to zerg more.

Of course, I understand that my ideas on how to play differ from most players ;) .

Meh, you say potato. I'm pretty sure the ones who run away from you and then come back a minute later with ten other players aren't baiting anyone; they just suck and are scared to engage unless they know they have overwhelming numbers on their side.

Anyhow, I don't want to turn this thread into a WvW whine-fest, so I'mma just leave it at that.

This is kind of a topic in itself, but I find enemy behaviour varies tremendously depending on the tag and so I learn to respond in accordance with who I'm dealing with.  ASTC from HoD for example are roamers who aren't afraid to siege a little to try and get fights, whereas STRM aren't afraid to fight in order to get PPT.

In much the same way, EBAY is primarily a PPT guild to the point where anyone who brags about beating us in a fight is only embarrassing themselves. Woe otoh are organised fighters who will often happily respond to whispers from EBAY commanders for help wiping enemy invaders (and we loves them for it).

Everybody is different, but what's important is getting those different types of groups to work together.  And as a server, I feel that Ehmry Bay has come on in leaps and bounds in that area in the last 6-9 months or so.

From what i can see, our OCX/SEA timezone beats out NSPs but is slightly weaker than HoD.
And from past experiences our OCX also beats out DB but gets rekt by the time their SEA Horde comes out.

I've played OCX a lot the last 4 weeks or so, If you're a small group you can certainly find other small groups to fight. Its not a barren wasteland. If you are a very large group (which is doesn't seem like you are ) you will likely not find a whole lot of well organized fights during OCX.

Regardless, OCX is my fave time to play because you are less likely to get trained over. xD

WvW community! I have words I'd like for you to read.

Now, you don't like us and we don't like you. Why? Because we don't know each other, and don't really care to. But enough about your overweight promiscuous mothers - we're here to talk about WvW.

If you've been up against us in the past, either in bronze or when we were in silver, you might imagine that our business cards look like this:

______________________________

SIEGE SINISTER SERVICES SYNDICATE

"The Villains Nine Rig Ruin"

Reputations Ruined - Competitors Bankrupted - Dragons Wormed - Basements Flooded - Wells Dried Up - Georges Exterminated - Contracts Executed Promptly; bargain rates on mothers-in-law - Juries Suborned - Stocks, Bonds, & Gallows - Saturday Night Specials - Houses Haunted (skilled poltergeist at small extra charge) - Midnight Catering to Ghouls, Vampires & Werewolves - Incubi & Succubi for rent by the night or the week - 7-year itch powder

P.S. We Also Poison Dogs
______________________________

But nothing could be further from the truth! We've wiped our ass and got some class! We've chucked out the egos and stockpiled blueberry Eggos! We also have not been directly responsible for any unexpected pregnancies since February 2014!

In fact, here are the new cards we're printing up and giving to all of our *WvW Associates:

______________________________

ANYTHING UNLIMITED

"Six Sixty-Six Smiling Slaves Supply Supreme Service"

Reputations Restored - Teeth & Wells Drilled - Water Filters - Love Philtres - Chastity Godel Lox Pict - Virginity Renewed - Scithers Sharpened - Old Saws Filed Categorically - Silver Bullets - Fresh Garlic - Fresh Strawberries - Strawberry Marks for Missing Heirs

P.S. We Also Walk Dogs
______________________________

Our server which-will-not-be-named has climbed up a few tier and is in a position where it's fairly evenly matched against the others in the tier. So: it's all fun and heroin right now, which begs the question "Why are we advertising for more people?".

Well I'll tell you. As much as we enjoy where we are right now (and let's face it - a quick look at the matchups shows that we're the only server in NA or Europe that has a balanced matchup where one server isn't blowing the other two out of the water), we want others to enjoy the same WvW experience we've been enjoying. Eredon Terrace, formerly the poster-child for "last place" has been zooming up the ranks and are now poised right below us, and their forum posts indicate that they're ready for the fun fights that only our tier can offer.

So we thought "How can we arrange it so that four servers can have this satisfying level of play when the tier can only hold three servers?". And it came to us! We'll move up, make room for ET, and spread our message of fun to a new set of servers! That's where you come in, avid readers!

I know, I know. People think "missionary" and get turned right off. But never fear, here on this server we applaud and encourage all sorts of positions other than missionary so you will be welcome to get your freak on in whatever way you and your lawn tractor want.

If you'd like to be a part of our psychosexual revolution that will shake the very meta meta of WvW to its knees (see? Told you it wasn't only missionary here) then transfer over and start Living la Vida Veloka.

Oh, what are the requirements? That's the best part! There aren't any.

Why not?

We want you to want to play. If that's once a month or every second, we're pleased. Want to jump into a group of people and run around with them? Then link arms with the people around you and you can-can do just that!

Want to shun all form of social contact, dig a burrow halfway up a hill over a camp, and shake your fist at passing yaks? We'll supply the shovel!

There's room for everything here, and just by your very presence we can move on to different tiers and make the entirety of WvW a better place for everyone! People will look forward to being crushed by us, because they know they'll be the ice in our mai tai of joy!

So join us now, and you can have your very own Krytan condominium with hot and cold running champagne and underwater dancing!

Oh, who to contact you say? Any of the satisfied authors of the replies under this post, cutie!

Pleaase. We're online everyday at those times and always roam instead of taking back our stuff.
Not that we're too outnumbered, its just always 10 vs 30

Hello, the majority of my guild already transfered, some others will do it soon, you guys probs will see our groups runing in many timezones. We dont run big tho, usually 2-3 or 3-5.

We used to just roam and play for fights, but we will try to help with PPT too.

I wanna know if we can get a TS channel and whos in charge for that.

Also i wanna say we recruit roamers too if anyone interested please send me in-game mail my acc is Mechanix.9315

We already had fun here, maybe OCX could be better but in overall its nice :)
