It's never more apparent to me that my hubby and I are very different than when Black Friday rolls around.
Him: I've only done about 4-5 hours of research on these components and they seem pretty good. Not top of the line which is the most expensive but definitely really really good. I think we should get these computers.
Me: I googled "is this computer any good for gaming/art?" OMG IT HAS A PURPLE CASE OPTION! We need these.
He's the big spender though so he likes to do his research and will buy maybe two big things a year. He lives for Independence Day (fireworks) and Black Friday(sales). Me? I nickel and dime my way through the year. I rarely buy anything more than $20 and usually it's books. Sometimes I'll buy a tshirt or some geeky paraphernalia.
How about ya'll? You looking to spend a little this Black Friday? Do you research before hand or just buy as you go down your list?

I'm looking to buy a new desk chair. After doing research for one that will last me 5 or more years, it looks like decent ones you either get used from offices closing or drop 500+ on it. I am praying Black Friday has a few deals on models I was eyeing up. Anyone have any advice there?

So this is me: Outside of regular daily needs I base most of my purchases on the principle of do I actually need this or do I just want it, going further I ask myself am I actually going to use said item on a regular basis or will it end up in a box in a closet?.( I only have two in my apt so space is limited 
). I do occasionally impulse buy something but not often, such is the habit of someone who is practical minded. Now when it comes to parts for my computer you would think I was planning a mission to Mars with the amount of research I do on the components.

I buy lots of chocolate, coffees, . . . and usually crafting materials. Yarn, Fabric, clay, lace, wood, colorful rocks, (anything from King Arthur Flour co.) this year has been a bit odd because I haven't made as many doo dads as usual. I did make a pair of slippers the other day to make more room in the yarn cupboard . . . .because the yarn is so pretty and it wants to come home with me . . .

I do lots of research on everything I buy. I also don't really shop Black Friday. Too many people. So anything I buy during such events is usually online.

Yeah I haven't been out on a Black Friday in...years? Yeah, years. I buy everything online now lol

I go out for Black Friday sometimes, but I wait for the lull. I was a bit disappointed this year nothing was really exciting.
Amazon wasn't bad, and Ebay had some interesting Black Friday stuff . . . but it was pretty meh.
