Cat GIFs aside, Every server calls things different. With the changes coming every month or so now, we need to learn to adapt.

I didn't say I can't "adapt," I said it's fucking stupid—although I suppose I should be glad when they even attempt to use directions when calling stuff. Half of them use the place names, or, better still, actually ping the POI.

Quite honestly, Before the linking a lot of people on ehmry didn't even use NET, SET, NWT, SWT, SEC, SC, etc. Most people used Camp or Tower, rather than C or T. We evolved, and people will eventually adapt to whatever is the easiest form of communication. NET is obviously easier to type than Northeast Tower or NE tower. Doesn't help much though when you're dyslexic and have problems with W vs E and L vs R. But people with adapt to Shorthand if they play enough and actually communicate with people. In the mean time, if they say something you dont like, you are always welcome to just ignore it. Thats what I do most times.

Yeah I'll admit I'm OK with c/t over camp/tower, although it does leave room for confusion when using net and set for example, which can be mistaken for the words themselves.  And yes, nnc and ssc irks the shit out of me too.

Also, once when when someone asked "how's nec", I replied with "i prefer mes tbh".
