So where will you guys go from here when it hits?
Our server's holding a meeting regarding the changes within a few days. I and Flukks both brought up the idea of trying to get the perspective of the lower tiers heard as much as possible in the discussion on restructuring. I didn't find any clear word on whether we get to name our own guild alliances, or how prominently they'd be displayed if implemented. Imagine an Ehmry Bay alliance, not treated as a second-class server any more but an equal to other server communities, like ours or Blackgate's.
We're probably going to utilize our forum as an alliance forum; y'all could consider restructuring the same way. At least now the trials of World Linking that severely ravaged all the lower-tier communities are finally going to be over.
It sounds vaguely like one guild in particular will "make" the alliance, and then can invite other guilds to it. So I assume at the very least it will be identified by that guild's name, if not a custom name.
I still need to talk to the other guild leaders about plans. It sounds like this is a
long way off, though, so we've got time to get our ducks in order. One potential issues is the size of the alliances, sounds like they might be somewhat small. We can deal with that when we know more, though.
And yes, having some name recognition
for the first time in forever would be absolutely fantastic.
I intend to (try to) utilize these forums as an alliance forum as well, with alumni and friends welcome as always.
