Halloween Guide, Phase 2

Halloween draws near. The insanity is rising, so be on the alert for changes all over Tyria. The Durmand Priory is scrambling to respond to reports of increasing paranormal activity in Queensdale, Kessex Hills, and Gendarran Fields. People have seen Lunatic Courtiers in Kryta for the first time in over two centuries, so excitement abounds!

The Priory has set up camps in Queensdale, Metrica Province, the Plains of Ashford, Caledon Forest, and Wayfarer Foothills to use as bases of operations to respond to the lunacy. They’re keeping an eye on suspicious individuals who have shown up around the festivities there and are taking people away to play dangerous games.

Magister Tassi’s search for Mad King Thorn’s history is causing folks to travel farther abroad as six additional ghosts appear to tell their tales. Other Priory scholars are upset by rumors of people visiting the Mad Realm. Could it be that the Mad King’s demesne has opened its doors?

Awww!!! Really sad i wont be on till 10pm Server Time so im going to miss out on all the intial excitement and WvW

I've been gathering info from players on the Gw2 forums so far we have all 12 pages and i've been in the mad realm. tons of fun!!!


We got the notice, ACt 2 has started. Said theres more activity including Lunatic Courtiers in Kryta. Increased activity in Queensdale/Kessex/Gendarran.

Set up camps in Metrica Province, Plains of Ashford, Caledon, Wayfarer, in other words theres activity all over the place.

There’s new pages to look for so we follow the clues on the book.

ENTERED INTO MAD KINGS LABRYINTH through a haunted door !Everyone boosted to Level 80.
Also there is access to Clock Tower, and Ramble on that same map. We are still looking for clarification on how to gain access to these.

Jump puzzle is a blast, took me almost 1 hour to get it lol.

YOOOO 1 hour is QUICK. Ppl have taken 3-5 hours like on average rofl and as for me I'm already jumping challenged. The simplest ones takes me forever when everyone else has finished. Soooo this one is more like 99% impossible. XD still it's fun trying bc everyone is falling together Rofl and then u get the moment where you're like wow we suck xDDD and laugh haha I've never had this much fun with jp bc other ones without timers it's like u can't make a mistake u rly need to be careful and get this right. This one with the chasing u thing makes u just rush and u just expect to fall xD so it's kinda alright if u do

Btw for anyone worrying about the Emissary of the Mad King achieve being bugged or fretting over the Clock Tower JP... per Anet Dev the Clock Tower JP and Pumpkin Carving do NOT count towards the title it is not bugged.

I still need to do the scavenger hunt, but I'll get that done tonight or tomorrow before act III starts. I finished the clock tower last night after 138 attempts...yeah I counted. Began to get depressing after awhile, but that puzzle was so addicting and pretty fun every time. I got some exotic mad king shoes that are fugly. I'll probably transmog them though...unless I decide to salvage...still not sure if I'm going to or not.

I don't believe they're salvageable, but that could be chat heresy. They look great on guys, haha. It was the same skin I was wearing with the same stat pool, just better stats. So it was a win.

Aha. Same here. It was same stats as my rare magic find set boots, so i just transmuted my magic find rune over to it and now it's part of my magic find set.
