What's interesting is that on the TP front page it is listed as 1,800 gold, but when you click through the price is 9,500 gold. Does that mean TP front page prices are cached, someone listed it for 1.8k, someone bought it and relisted it for 9.5k?

Let's think about either of those prices for a minute.
A $25 gem card (2000 gems) can be legitimately traded for about 30 gold. At that rate the 1,800 price would equal $1,500 and the 9,500 price would equal ~$7,900. At black market rates you are probably still looking at $500 and ~$2,900 respectively.
It's highly unlikely that a legitimate player will have 1,800 gold banked, but let's just for the sake of this argument assume that someone did. They would have first hand knowledge of how much time it took to acquire 1,800. How could they possibly think that someone has legitimately 9,500 gold banked.
Looking forward to the headline that some dude bough $3,000 worth of gold from gold sellers, bought the Twilight, and then Anet banned his account.
