WARNING THIS is A LONG READ.

Hi everyone.
Please Read through this if you are interested in seeking a new member. I am going to answer many questions you might have, but I will require answers from the guilds interested in my application there after. I spent a lot of time making this today. Trying to remember past MMORPGs and making the best compilation of answers and questions I could think of.

I am seeking a guild for Guild Wars 2.


Stage 1 Game Related Questions
Are you seeking a guild to join for Guild Wars 2 on the server Ehmry Bay(just have to make sure you are in the right place)?
Yep.

Why?
Because I do not want to play alone. I like talking to other players and having a good laugh is fun. I may not need to game with someone in PvE, but I would love to say hi over chat.

What do you want to do in game?
Mostly, I want to explore, and get better equipment and gear. I been playing a little PvP, but not much yet. I really need better gear and levels. I am interested in the story line but more with people.

How would you describe yourself under these terms in order of greatest to least: Explorer, Social(RP), Player hunter, Completionist, Dungeon Raider, Crafter, Story driven, devilishly witty(snicker), Time Waster.

What crafting are you interested in?
Chef and jeweler. I have got them to about 100 so far. I am willing to share the stuff I make. At times I make them for the experience. I freely give my stuff to guild members buy money or crafting mats are always welcome.

How often do you plan to play (dude, be honest)?
I just got the game, so its hard to answer. Lately I been playing a lot since its new to me. I can see myself on the game at least three times a week.

Causal or semi-hardcore. I have a life on my own and at times I will not be around. Such is responsibility.


Do you have voice chat or are willing to use it?
Yes, and Yes.


Are you easily offended by verbal outbursts or typed responses that may be crude or even worse? We need to know if you have a cool head or are mouthy son of a gun. We may like attitude or not, so be honest. Lying will just get you kicked.
I am more honestly witty than rude. I do not use strong language often. If I see a person will not stop being rude no matter what I say, they go on the ignore list for a little while. Sometime for the fun of it, I try to make a worse insult that they can use on me later. I find if you can trump the middle school bully on insults it turns humorous instead. I have no fear of internet-gangster. Its like being afraid of an attack dog that is barking over the phone from three countries away. …. Click.

Firstly, that was not a question. Better that it was not, because it would look like you are not sure. Secondly, would you like me to burrow your face, because I think you might already hate yourself. This way we both win! You get to hate two birds with one glare.

Are you planning to join other guilds?
Not really. I might if I find I can not find others on at my same time. But the first guild I join will always be primary. Any other guild will be informed they are secondary and should expect it as much.

We might host a guild event, what do you think of events?
I like the idea. I am more then willing to talk and goof off for hours on end. Role playing at guild events are fun, super fun.

Are you a role player, can you act your character?
Actually yes. I may have put role play at the near bottom of the list but I am huge on role play. I love it, it loves me, but If there is not any in the guild, I will not shed man water from my eyes.

How big of a guild are you looking for? Please select a range in order of importance. Leave out any you are not interested in. 500+, 300+, 100+, 50ish, 20ish, 10 or less.

Are you looking for a leadership position in a guild? Be aware, if you are, your account tag information is provided to any guild you join. If you are joining a guild to gain access to items in the bank you are subject to the guild's personal by laws on withdrawals and deposits. If you are found to be in the act of breaking these rules, you may or may not have your account name used to represent your personal activity in the guild. (mainly a warning for guild thieves.)
I am mildly warm to the idea. If a leadership role is forced upon me I will consider if its what I want to do. I will not take a role if I do not like it.

What leadership roles do you prefer, if any?
Social, administrative, treasurer A.K.A. “Trash Compactor”, officer but not leader.

Do you have or plan to have alts (alternate characters)?
No not really. I like to build one character and play with that one. If I do make an alt, its to play with other abilities, but nothing for serious play.

(Sorry, this is an odd question be it relates to you and the people you will meet or find interesting. Yes I am. But I have four little kids. Now don't get all weepy eyed. I do fine. They do fine. They have a great dad, (or so I hope I am).

Do you have a family at home or someone dependent upon you that might take time away from the game?
Yes I have four little ones I love dearly. They come first above all else. Accept it, it will not change.

Do you have a job or an activity that you are required or committed to go to (jail counts too!)?
Yes I have transportation of my kids in the mornings and I work evenings, but only part-time. I also go to church (or at least give it a good try.)

What time zone and country are you in?
Mountain, US

What languages do you speak?
English. I been learning Japanese, not very far with it yet. Hajimemashite Dustin Yoroshiku! Boku wa hirigana o kaite to yonde desu. Boku wa katakana to kanji o kaite to yonde dewa arimasen.

Have you played MMORPGs before, was one Guild Wars?
Yes I been playing MMORPGs for a long time. First time I actually started with MUDs, before Uiltma Online came out. (note: I did not say before WoW.) That was... geeze, 1993. I did not play Guild Wars for long.

Can you type?
Yes but I have lots of typos, you will see them. I am Typonius Greek Good of mispelling and misunderstands!

I actually like the longer post I'm a little confused though. When most people say they want to explore and get better gear/equipment, they usually are looking for PVE guilds, yet you put that at the bottom of the list.

Haven isn't really recruiting very much right now, but you sound cool and I do love a good questionaire when I should be doing something else...so here it goes!

What would you consider your primary style, causal, semi-hardcore, or hardcore?
I'd consider Haven a casual/semi-hardcore style of guild. We have a few people who play quite a bit and are very into the game (myself included) but other people just like to hang out, talk lore or whatnot and enjoy time spent with the guildies.

What time of game play is your primary and secondary type PvE, PvP, WvW, PvX, RP?
PvE is our big one...I'm not sure if we have a secondary type as PvE takes up quite a lot of time. Between map completion, dungeons, and chilling in divinity's reach, we don't get into WvW much. I think that'll change as those of us working towards legendaries and monthlies need those player kills.

How big is your guild (I am not talking alts. Please do not pad your numbers)?
I see that you're looking for a larger guild (100+) so ...haven is probably not going to be your first choice. At the moment, we have about 81 accounts in our guild. About 10 of those (at least) are non reps from other guilds that we're friendly with. A few others haven't logged on in awhile. Our usual active amount at a time is anywhere from 25 - 10. We prefer to feel like a family, and yes a larger guild can feel like a family, but we also have bad memory with names. So having over a hundred members would get tough.

What Time zone do the majority of your guild play in?
The majority of officers are PST, so server time, but we have people from all over. Quite a few of east coasters, and recently some Oceanics. We play at all hours, but our prime time tends to be 6pm - 2am server time....most of the time. There were like 20 people on last Monday around lunch time and usually a decent amount on during most days.

What time of day does the majority of your guild play at?

We do not have dedicated officers for events, yet. I'm starting to set up some events, so I guess I'm turning into that person. We've been talking about it for awhile, so I'm finally getting some time to set them up. We're starting with some screenshot contests and explore contests. Hopefully we'll move into group map clears, keg brawls, and jumping puzzle races. Everyday is a dungeon day and a lot of times we'll all end up sitting around in Divinity's reach chatting.

You must pay me 20g a day. Just kidding. We don't have any of that stuff. :3

If it's in the bank and you can see it, feel free to take it. As long as you don't suddenly take ALL THE THINGS, it'll be fine.

No not really. We don't seem to attract people under 16 though..although we don't ask everyone for their age.

No. Play when you want to play and do what you want. We'll probably join you if we can. Exploring is more fun together!

Do you have a social requirement (i.e. role play, events)?
We don't have any requirements. We are tossing around the idea of roleplaying, so if you're into that, maybe you could help us with it??

Do you have a person for contact on recruitment and joining?
Me, Snype Cyclos, Drake Erif, Derpin, Fizzle Giggle, HugotheGrand, we're all on the forums and usually there's always one of us in game. You can also find us at www.havencommunity.com

It's not required, but you can sign up at www.havencommunity.com if you'd like

Again, it's not required, but we have a lot of fun on our TS.

Be nice. We have some people who joke around, but it's all just jokes. Nothing too offensive, if at all offensive, at least we hope. If you're looking for something more over the top, i'd suggest [PUNK]s

Do you have a multi-guild requirement (for, against, and recommended)?
We wont hate you if you multi-guild, but you'll sure be missing out

Do you have a typing requirement?
Be legible?

Do you have an incentive to join?
I don't know any other guild with a Mystical Unicorn.

www.havencommunity.com We can be pretty active in the chat program there and it's also where we plan our events and show off our funny screenshots.

FTF! Semi-Hardcore guild. Lots of laughs, but as a good amount of coordinated efforts and improvement.

We are PvX but are a primarily WvW focused guild. But we hop on all the new stuff for pve and goodies with all the guildies (fractal farming coming up pretty soon)

Almost 250+ with an active ratio of around 50-90 during primetime. And then our core (TS3 using players) is inbetween 10-30 depending on the night.

EST and PST. Noice is EST, I am PST.

After work EST and PST. Alot of weekend activity. actions you'll popping inbetween 5pm-2am PST.

All the time, we run dungeons, squads, map completion groups. As for collaboration we all just kinda kick it together and find things to do together.

TS3 is where its at! Dont require it, but if your ever interested in stepping up your game and improving, getting amic and talking with us would be the first step.

Be yourself, laugh, be an asshat (within reason) we're very relaxed, and we do like to fuck around with each other. But we wont pick on you.

You can rep other guilds, no 100% rep requirement.

So yeah, thats pretty much it.

Theres a bunch of great guilds around, come around the public TS3 and introduce yourself to us! We're completely open, anyone can come in and join.

As for RPing, lol, some of us jump into random RP rants for shits and giggles, we have all types in the guild.

Thanks for answering. I been waiting so I can see what guilds would best be suited for me and them.

As for PUNK, no, no questions are related to any guild. Never met any of you yet. The reason I made the long post is to answer all the questions that I would ask me, if I was going to join a guild. I also wanted to make sure I am stepping into the right one. I have noticed a few that I like and a few that I do not. But from what I can see I have got positive responses from those that fit my criteria.
Pretty much the only people that are going to answer my guild questions are the ones that read my self-questions. That means dedicated people.

In order to explore many areas in the game, you will encounter and fight monsters or obstacles. Having a good set of armor will help with that. In my mind, PvE is more with experience and gain.In exploration that is secondary, but still a necessity to travel everywhere.
