As an engineer if I build kind of funny I can chain 7-8 blast finishers over a pretty short amount of time (I can provide my own water field but it doesn't last long enough to finish all my blasts) sounds like this could be insane healing with healing power and a water field. Heal turret, thumper turret, rocket boots, bomb kit, shield 4, and supply crate...7 blast finishers and everything but thumper turret is good in wvw hmmmm might have to try some of this stuff out.

As a Guardian myself, I've focused on a bunch of different styles for staying alive.
What I have found is let's say you are commanding. You have your build specced and gear picked so that you do not die. You are trying to be the last man down. You off the bat would think that being a commander, that this is what you would be going for. Because how can the army continue without it's commander. In theory this is correct.
But the reality is that if all your men have gone down and you are the last one alive, it really has no affect on the outcome of the battle. You and you're group still have wiped and your enemies are collecting their bags all the same.
Now what if you took a step back and said I want 5 other players to still be alive before I go down. With only 5 players left, your zerg is gone. All the rest need to respawn at the starting camp/ citadel. So instead of stacking that toughness and vitality, throw some in Healing Power. When specced right and have the right utilities, as a Guardian I have 12 different healing / buff giving abilities that I can cycle through to help out my zerg.
That's alot of support. I use mace/ shield and staff. So in answer to your question, yes healing power is useful.

So far as HP's concerned, it scales well only with a handful of abilities, and the devs seem intent on nerfing the ones still left. It's something to try but I would hesitate to build myself around it.
I usually tell people running Alt Healing not to bother with HP though. Too little of a gain for so many stats lost. Meditations guardians fare much better by comparison.I usually prefer to run my ele half Cleric and half Soldier. Means you end up more durable while still outputting respectable heals.

Has anyone tried a full cleric/water for ele? Is it true that you'll be healing everyone greatly with the cleric set? I want to be full healer when running with the pack since I don't want to embarrass Bob lol!

This is why you don't shoot your mouth off about how great you are, while continuing to lose match after match. Enjoy your new ranking, Ehmry Bay. It's truly the one you deserved.
