Regardless, I'm excited to be able to run other dungeon paths and get decent rewards. I can do AC path 1 in about 15 minutes, same with SE1, TA UP, and a few other paths. If those start giving me 1-2g daily? I know where i'll be for the next few months. I'm not a very hardcore CoF farming, a group and I maybe farm once or twice a week for an hour and make between 5 and 7g. If I can make that same amount running dungeons I enjoy, adios CoF!
And @Reina, they're removing the money you get from the bosses in the dungeon. That 20s or so that drops, it's not going to drop anymore. I don't think they're changing the general loot from teh other mobs or boss chests, just, instead of getting that 20s, you get a daily champ chest. Then probably blues after that.

Oh, yeah, so its just slightly less, but from what people say, they don't depend on that drop for CoF money making, so i don't think it will destroy CoF farming but yeah, I never was a CoF farmer either, I do it a few times here and there, personal reasons why i dont like it but other dungeons and paths are also really quick, so it'll be great if we're getting rewards for sure!

Champ farming in Queensdale serves a single purpose: Daily Champion Slayer. If you're "farming" there, you fail at understanding how farming is supposed to work. Queensdale champ events would only drop around Lvl 15 in terms of karma/gold rewards because event rewards are scaled based on the ZONE level, not YOUR level. Oh sure, you'd get loot drops, but why are you farming champion mobs in Queensdale for good loot drops?
You'd make far more in a high-level zone, or a dungeon, or most anywhere else.
So my point stands: NO ONE farms champion mobs for money.
This is why you don't shoot your mouth off about how great you are, while continuing to lose match after match. Enjoy your new ranking, Ehmry Bay. It's truly the one you deserved.

People don't kill a lot of the champ mobs in the world because the effort required isn't worth the loot you get once you kill it. There are straight up DOZENS of champ mob events all over the world that are perpetually up because killing the champ would require way more effort than it's worth.
Thus they are giving champion mobs more rewards to entice people into farming them more.

Ergo they are adding rewards to champions that will encourage people to farm them.
It makes perfect sense. It sure ain't rocket science. >_>

That is not the same as having lots of people farming every champion in every map.
See the difference? I'm not really sure how much simplier I can make it.
There are countless numbers of champions who are almost never targeted, ever, and the reason is because the rewards for a champion aren't nearly worth the effort to kill it. Thus the devs are adding more rewards for champion mobs to try and encourage people to hit all of the champ events that are currently ignored by the vast majority of the in-game population.

I was trying to explain their rationale for making this change in the first place.
And to be fair it's not a BAD one. If I run past a champ event now while leveling an alt, maybe I'll actually stop and do it now.

On the other hand, personally, I kill every champion I see. If i'm solo, all the better. I only kill them for the thrill of it, challenging myself, particularly being able to solo most champions/champion events is a great feeling :3
However, most people do leave champions thats why I have to solo a lot of champions cuz people don't do them. Even in Orr, people almost only go for the temples that has chest rewards. When I take my Orr zerg event through the maps of Orr and do some more rarely done events, some people have never done these champions before. Some event chains give chest rewards too, but they're just off the normal path.
If they give me decent reward for things around the world, that's something we will all really appreciate. That will definitely feed my champion killing sprees!

I think you only get the 1g reward for a shorter path once a day, so you'll have to run all the short dungeon paths, which is my plan :3
