yeah but in Aus the 86 is about $6,000 less then the BRZ... if they both were same price then brz/86 i wouldn't mind what one.... but yeah in australia... the 86 is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more popular then brz... ive seen like maybe 5ish brz's and prob like 50+ 86s xD
but then again im buying a Toyota Supra 95 very soon.. dont have enough cash for 86 haha... one day tho..
The BRZ is roughly the same price as the premium model 86 with all the bells and whistles. Subaru did not bother releasing a budget version, they just opted for one model.
The lower end 86 is missing things like the lcd screen, leather seats, some interior trim and outer styling plus smaller alloys (the auto model has no LSD).
I very nearly bought a Toyota 86, but the 8 month waiting list turned me right off.
I ended up personally importing a Nissan Skyline V36 370gt Sedan. Personally i'm glad i did because it is quicker, rarer and less conspicuous

(bonus points if its green)
LOL, no and no, it's black. Though I almost bought a 2001 dark green VW Golf GL a couple of weeks ago. It literally looked new inside and out, but had some engine troubles that were hard to put a price on fixing.

The GTI is more sporty but sucks more gas and is more expensive to ensure. The Golf GL has plenty of power with the 2.0L engine. Sadly the Golf US versions now come with a 2.5L engine for no good reason imho. Back in Germany they sell the same chassis with a 1.2L engine and it works just fine.
Golf GL 4-door hatchback is one of the best cars I have ever owned (and I did own quite a few different makes/models). The other vehicles in the driveway are; a 89 Honda Accord, which is decent, sucks more gas than the VW and is not as practical without the hatchbar.
An 84 3/4 ton Suburban 6.2L diesel which is the perfect camping vehicle because you don't need to bring a tent or sleep outside. Just put a queen sized air mattress in the back and you are golden.
Lastly a 2006 Subaru Forester, which is an awesome car if it weren't for being a gas guzzler at ~22mpg. Permanent all wheel drive combined with a heavy vehicle equals poor gas mileage. Heated seats and AWD sure are nice when needed though.

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but to me it just looks stupid. It's one thing for a driver to risk his own health and potentially life, it's another to do it with a bunch of passengers. It's all fun and games till someone gets seriously hurt.
