Ha, they actually think people will choose to redistribute themselves to a weaker WvW server right before the WvW season to make things fair?

The only reason people would do that is to escape the zergballs of Gold and Silver.  I don't foresee anyone else bothering.

So, we are considered a high tier server ( the highest, if a post of reddit is to be believed )... how can we take advantage of this situation? Can we lure some WvW guilds back to our cause?

Gem prices are pretty outrageous, I doubt we've a chance to get entire guilds over here, sale or no sale.

This is what the transfer costs should have been from the start.  I would say "better late than never", but as far as preventing server stacking goes, a whole year too late may as well be never.

If we are the highest of the high pop servers then that makes us a relatively good value for money transfer.

No medium pop servers in NA.

Rank 2 wvw server in EU medium pop.

Players only need to transfer for wvw since they can guest on other servers. So why base the price on the server population and not wvw population.

no, they expect everyone to want to move to gold tier for better rewards, thats why theres no price change on that.

But that doesn't make any sense.  Why have a sale on the lower tiers if you want people to transfer to the highest ones?

I think it's more likely that they really, truly thought people would transfer down to lower servers if they just made it cheap to do so.  Which just shows how naive they really are.

Obviously not.

What they will do, however, is wait until Oct 17th, see which servers are going to be at the top of their bracket, then transfer to those.

Well fixing leagues and Doing free transfers to low servers (well till the 17th for now). looks like Anet are finally listening (Now remove golems off the TP, and make adjustments to bloodlust) tho I cant help but wonder weather this is a tad to late and while servers in the top of silver like us or those at the top of bronze may benefit only Anvil Rock and Gate of Madness ever drop to medium So for most servers in low tier it may not have any substantial benefits.

Hyberbole and speculation aside, this is turning out to be very good for ehmry. I have yet to spend more than an hour in WvW and not see someone say "Just tranfered here from X Server".

Ehmry's rank to population ratio (Lowish pop for our rank in wvw) is leading a lot to us from lower servers now that it's cheap.

I have seen 0 people transfer. But I also haven't seen Keren around. Maybe there's a correlation there...

There are only 7 6 servers in NA which benefit from this. As of TODAY (10/7) we are now VERY HIGH. I suspect its all the Maguuma accounts created for spying. BP is no longer listed as High either as of 10/12.
