We all know what to do when we see a huge zerg coming toward us ; we [RUN]. But, the real question is : In what direction? If you don't want to miss on any shiny loot bag, join us to get your passive 33% speed increase! :)

If You See A Zerg [RUN] is a casual guild, based mostly on Ehmry Bay, focussing on WvW, EotM and PvP.

History

I'm a big fan of WvW, heck I have been playing/commanding in WvW for 2 years now and I still love it. That's why I decided to create my own guild in April 2014. It's been a crazy ride since that moment but a fun one and I think [RUN] was a pretty successful guild : being active in WvW nearly everyday and growing to nearly 250 members in only 6 months.

The guild used to do only WvW event wise and was limited to Ehmry Bay players only, but we are now, October 2014, expanding the guild activites to WvW, EotM and PvP. With those new activities, the guild will now accept members from any server!

Our mission

The goal of [RUN] is to be a very welcoming and inclusive community focussing on WvW, EotM and PvP. If you enjoy those, join us!

Requirements

Be mature, polite and respect others : I don't want to see insults or childish drama. Also, hacks or exploits abuse are not tolerated.

[RUN] is a very casual guild in the sense that we don't have require build or require play time. We don't even have representing requirement, people have rep us because they enjoyed it, not because we are forcing them and I want to keep it that way.

But, when we are on the field, we try to perform as best as we can and have fun :)

Events and Schedule
  • WvW melee train : Every Tuesday 8pm east (midnight server time)
  • Guild mission : Every Thursday 8pm east (midnight server time)
  • Eotm Madness : Coming soon
  • PvP : Coming soon
Officers

I'm always open to new officers in the guild. If you think you are fit to be an officer contact me.

In addition to normal requirements, officer are required to help administer the guild. This means :
  • Helping guildies and fixing problems
  • Recruiting
  • Hosting events (of your choice)
Officers are a very important part of the guild as they are the image of the guild, they animate the guild with their events and decide on the politics we apply in the guild.

Conclusion

If you like WvW, EotM or PvP and...

If you are looking for a fun, active and laid back guild without any stupid requirements...

Then you should definitively join us :)

@Crosius Ty for the support

@Maksyn I like it too (obviously). I find it fitting for our current situation in WvW : being dead last and outnumbered even by other Tier 8 servers. It will also become (in the future) a memento of where the guild start off :)

Alright, just popped here to say that [RUN] is growing very well. New members are joining us every days and we just pass the mark of 50 members.

We are usually between 10-20 online and most of them are repping. Our members are mostly PvE players or returning players, that came into WvW and got hook by this amazing game mode!

Also, we are still recruiting! Everyone is welcome whether you are an hardened veteran or a brand new players to WvW.

See you in the field :)

RUN is starting it's zerg busting training!!

Not many of our members are experienced with it, but they want to learn to become more effective in zerg fight. Tag along if you wanna learn or help us become better zerg buster.

Look out for my warrior : Cabbran

Note : Even if zerg busting is usually directed toward more "hardcore" players, the guild will always keep it's open door policy. Everyone that play wvw on Emhry Bay and have fun doing it is welcome in [RUN]. Even if you only to play WvW 1 hour per week :P

As true and sincere as you want it to be Afey, unless the people that do join you while doing this in WvW are level 80s with decent gear it kinda defeats the purpose tho...peut-être les bas niveaux pourraient être les troupes de shock de milieu de combat mais ca devient trop organizationnelle encore à ce point:)

Shhh, you'll hurt my up-level's delicate feelings.

My warrior and guard are 80 and reasonably well-equipped, however, so I could try to take them out for some fun.

You know what mean tho haha Silver-kun...ennemies rally more easily off low leveled toons in a grp, one of the biggest reasons guilds doing it go tagless and between themselves.

But he said training so its okay, afey is sly...

Well, I might roll with my ele or engie, maybe necro. They're up-levels, but those classes have enough tricks up their sleeves to avoid going down too fast. Training or not, though, I'm leaving my mesmer at home for now. I love her in PvE, but she's kind of a useless squishball in WvW. :P

Sanji, I disagree with you on that. You can perfectly run a zerg busting group in the middle of a pug zerg of uplevel.

What zerg busting usually boils down to is : running an organized melee train, warrior/guardian, with a couple of other classes for support.

It should be renamed organized melee train really.

But, my plan is not to create a zerg busting group for bragging on forum and doing gvg.

My long term plan is to create a group of players that are good in zerg fights and would bring the needed support to our pug groups.

I strongly believe that having a core group of organized players in a zerg of uplevel pug can make all the difference in fights. Just imagine the same pug fight but without an organized group helping them... It would be a disaster when facing another semi-organized group.

I love pug and I want to help them, that's a big reason why we are training.

Other reasons? It's fun and effective :D

TLDR

My goal is to create an organized group of players that is able to protect our pugs, turn the tide of battle and hold their own while facing bigger group.

I understand all your basis and yeah makes perfect sense.
Still need alot more organization of whom does what in your type of thinking that I havent seen in our big capping all mixed-in grps...needless to say ive been out of wvw about what 2 weeks now...and maybe it has changed somewhat but the time I commanded and was between inner and outer SM we manage to win the first battle but MvM ( ithink guild name) managed to stack on outer ramp and kill me and a few that had stacked on stairs choke pt whereas most were just spread out below or all over the lenght of ramp behind us.

This is your guild forum so I'll leave it at that for msgs for now here :P

As long as your expectations are realistic, I fully support this endeavour.  The server needs it badly.  EBay used to have truly awesome PuG zergs.  Though we still have our moments, right now our PuG zergs are at times completely infuriating to try to lead.  I want to have awesome PuG zergs again.

There will always be some part of a PuG zerg that doesn't coordinate well, but if you have a solid core at the heart of the zerg, you can accomplish a lot even in spite of the PvE build non-teamspeak crowd.  I think that solid core starts with our WvW guilds; if we've got a reasonable percentage of our WvW players enrolled in WvW guilds, and those guilds work to get their members into proper builds, into teamspeak, and into good habits for how to be effective as a part of a large group, then those things carry over even to when those players are just "pugging it".

Obviously it's never going to be the same as a bona fide skill group, but it can be really effective.
