We will try it tonight. I don't think it is enabled for me but can't say for certain.

Yes, I used it just the other day for a call out. We used to do this on SoS TS all the time. Like Xheal said though, not sure who can see it.. But it did seem to bring more ppl to bay unless it was just a coincidence.

That's the whisper lists, glad to see this get some traction

'
For a Whisper list Click on the Tools Menu in TS.
Then click on Whisper List or just hit CRTL SHIFt
Then the New Button on the Bottom left of the box.
A dialog box will appear asking you to select a hot key, or hot keys.
Click the buttons you would like to use as a hot key.
Use the drop down menu on the right hand side of the box to select contacts, clients, or channels
Then double click on the names you would like to appear on your whisper list.
Click OK to save the list.'

I haven't tried this yet in its current incarnation because I'm sick but it used to be one group, you would assign it as your whisper target and whomever had that group could hear no matter where they are (vs doing it person by person)

Ccoms or whispers list IS very helpful and easy to set up for sure. Would def help on reset night between BL's with all the guilds running about. And if the driver can't be bothered w/ yet another key to push, he/she can assign a designated 'whisperer' to receive and relay messages.

Global chat and whisper list are two different things. Both were discussed at the TS meeting.

Global chat is when you chat through the ehmry bay community channel, where you get all the other connect and disconnect messages. I haven't seen it used on here, but it was used a lot on SoS for defense callouts, and I saw Brat use it the other day. So I don't know if that was recently enabled or not and what levels have permission so speak in there ( I wasn't able to use it when I first got to SoS probably after I got officer status in a guild).

Ccoms or whisper list is when you can speak to each other on a separate line, as Brat mentioned you assign a separate push to talk key for it, you can also op't out of it if you don't want to be a part of it.

I definitely remember Lexx fixing the permissions for server-wide chat at some point, but they seem to be broken again, at least for me.

Would you mind meeting up with me some time on TS and we can get this setup? It seems it's starting to be requested quite often, wouldn't mind getting it fully setup and then writing a guide on it.

What server groups are you assigned to? I'll make sure it gets resolved.

Thanks!

The next time you are online let me know and we can check it out.  I checked flutts account as a member, and it works the same for members as well.
While I have gone over the whisper lists a few times for you guys, I haven't looked up the CComs.  I suspect that is what you guys really want because it looks like it would work better for call outs.

[EBAY Leader]

From the looks of it, you should really just set 'b_client_server_textmessage_send' to 1 for the "Ehmry Bay Server" group (everyone who's verified).  That would solve everyone's problem.

Also, there's a good channel commander whisper list guild here: http://www.teamspeak...EGORIE&idCat=44, under "Speak between channel commanders."

If you are setting up a whisper list and intend on receiving whispers, I highly recommend the CrossTalk plugin.  It has a feature called Position Spread that lets you redirect whispers to either the right or left speaker (or headphone).  Humans are much better at understanding speech from multiple sources if they're coming from different directions, so by by forcing whispers off to one side, you can actually hear what they're saying over your normal channel.  It's also great if you connect to multiple servers / channels at once, it lets you focus on one conversation, and know where something's being said.

It looks like channel commander should be set up for guild leaders and Admins, I don't think it is set up for officers, members, or the un-guilded.
Does that sound right?
