I'll refer to Soulless's post as he seemed to lay it out pretty well and touch on everything he had mentioned, as quoted below.
I'm just going to lob these two together, as they seem to go hand-in-hand. I haven't been around for the "Whisper List Communication" - would someone be kind and explain the original idea behind this?

FYI we actually already discussed this during the TS Meeting, if you weren't there I think Nere was still in the channel.
She should be able to explain it as well.  It is already in Teamspeak, you can use it right now if you would like.

For a Whisper list Click on the Tools Menu in TS.
Then click on Whisper List or just hit CRTL SHIFt
Then the New Button on the Bottom left of the box.
A dialog box will appear asking you to select a hot key, or hot keys.
Click the buttons you would like to use as a hot key.
Use the drop down menu on the right hand side of the box to select contacts, clients, or channels
Then double click on the names you would like to appear on your whisper list.
Click OK to save the list.

It isn't something that many people are using, much less abusing.  Very few people use any of the tools in TS.

everyone deserves the right to be heard equally.
I completely agree, but that is not what I am seeing so far.

This is the opposite of making things open, honest, and everyone being heard.  The truth much like the sun, always comes out eventually anyway.

You may think my positions are unpopular or unusual, but every time I log in I am getting messages thanking me for saying these things.  Lexx isn't one of those people, I do not speak for him.  As always I speak for myself, but I am saying something because a lot of people aren't being heard.

Any time I see someone treated unfairly I have said something, and when I see dishonesty I will continue to call it out.  If it were any one of you I would be just as adamant.

Cool, but browsing through the forums I see no mention of this being used very much - perhaps this lies in the sacred Commanders Forums - I'm not sure? But regardless, if it's something we want to actively use, then it should be made public. To state very few people use any tools of TS is just outright wrong if we're not being positive in handing out information saying "Hey, we used this, bla bla bla" - I am absolutely certain I'm not the only one that had no clue of this whisper list.

Could you provide an example? Perhaps link to a post somewhere? A topic that wasn't misaligned with the original OP, hopefully. Secondly, if everyone is not being heard, shouldn't you be doing as I have done and make sure they are being heard? To sit back idly and say "It's not what I'm seeing so far" is extremely selfish and aids no one.

I never said only Lexx should be held to that standard, and it was also an example, not a factual statement.

I haven't received a message from Soul, but I'm absolutely certain it will be a past history of what has been going on, and I'm sure he's PM'ing it to keep the peace in this topic. If you so wish to know what he sends me, I'll gladly forward you it or even discuss it with you on TS at your convenience.

Could you provide an example? From what I see in this topic alone, there's quite a few people who claim absolutely no one has stood up for them.

The same is true of a Whisper List (but not everyone stayed that long), it is under tools.
Or hit CTRL   SHIFT W
This is also simple, but if needed anyone with TS can elaborate, or take screenshots.

It was in the Tools menu.  As I stated, several times now it was brought up in the TS meeting. When people asked about it, I went over how to use it, I mentioned it earlier in this thread.  I have gone over it again in detail.  It is entirely public, and has been the entire time.
I can keep going over it again and again, but after the third time it doesn't seem productive.

This thread is an example.  I had concerns, as did several other people, I have stood up for them and myself.  There was a great deal being said here that I know to be untrue, including about me.  I can only represent the people I know, and the concerns they have.  I am absolutely sure there are people who are being left out.  Which was part of my point.

You can claim TS meetings don't solve anything, but almost every question you had was already answered in less than an hour.  Skitzuu also posted it to the forums.

Half of the people who use TS don't use these forums, so you will never hear from them here.  So there have been issues of poor communication, in the past, and I cited one earlier.  Focusing all communication here won't help any of the people who don't use these forums.  Problems will continue.  You guys could compromise and make a Facebook page as well or something, if the point is better communication.
Not only was I talking about how people were being left out, that adding another forum topic wouldn't resolve it, I offered another idea to help.

You have addressed Soul's concerns, Rimmy's concerns, and ignored mine.
Instead my motives are questioned you have also called me idle and selfish.
These things demonstrate your bias, and your opinion.
I offer ways to move forward, answers to questions, suggest solutions, and demonstrable facts. What you do with it is up to you.

I rather skitz understand the context for himself and make a judgement for himself and choose whatever output to represent what I have already said publicly in your ts admin meetings which you are a part of, then make your decisions.

Secondarily whomever you think I treat unfairly needs to ask themselves if I 'treat' them at all.

Also on whisper list it was used much back when we had a lot more organization, back before GH left or just after is the last time I recall its use.  I'm sure some GH folks can testify to its usage, I remember goldiy was an active user and it helped.

I brought it up because of a few posts from some new guilds that wanted ehrmy to be more organized as a tool for them to use to do so. Whether it's used or not is really up to us, but a lot of people don't know about it like it was two years ago, or how to use it, or have tried so maybe new folks might see some value in its discovery.

Can you guys knock it off, or at least take this to PMs?  Nobody wants to read you all throwing your dirty laundry at each other.  I can't even tell what you guys are arguing about anymore.

Sktiz, I think whisper lists were documented in Drakma's old TS thread, which is buried somewhere in the General Discussion forums.  I don't think it's documented anywhere else on the forums, except in Cassy's recent post - mostly because nobody used them.

That's okay, I'll be heading on vacation this weekend, so hopefully I can get in touch with the right people before tomorrow's reset and get this resolved and a guide written and stickied in this forum or the future TS forums.

Thanks for the input guys.

That's the whisper lists, glad to see this get some traction

A dialog box will appear asking you to select a hot key, or hot keys.

Then double click on the names you would like to appear on your whisper list.
Click OK to save the list.'

I haven't tried this yet in its current incarnation because I'm sick but it used to be one group, you would assign it as your whisper target and whomever had that group could hear no matter where they are (vs doing it person by person)

Such as quoting me without giving attribution?

I used to do that instead of wasting everyone's time like this.  However it only increased the drama.  I have no interest in this going on forever, and I would much rather have it resolved one way or another now.

Also since my concerns are still not addressed, and Toothpick said it was confusing, I will also make a pointed list.

1.  If you ask for something and it is done, stop claiming it still needs to be done.  Saying Thank you would be a more reasonable response.
2.  Don't blame random people for things.  If Thuley/Rill need to do something, they will get to it, don't blame Lexx.

3.  If you are not willing or able to do something on your own, don't be nasty to the person you are asking for help.

4.  This is a game not a job, so real life will come before whatever you are asking about.

5.  People are spending hours of their time and hundreds of dollars setting up the infrastructure you are using.  Calling them idle, selfish, etc. isn't just disrespectful it also means you have misunderstood the situation.

You had to go out of your way in order to do it that way Soul, it was petty and dishonest. I am sick to death of the dishonesty, and I will call it out publicly.
No matter what you guys say on the forums, I help people pretty much every day in TS.
Everyone knows who I am, and I pretty much have no secrets.
