wtf

??

groups with Techni doesn't give much info, i'm talking about something organized not like pming each person on this thread. Now Steviathan's Fury's Charge sounds interesting if we can gather everyone in it and start up something that's systematic and organized :3

I like to construct elaborate stories in the map chat for dungeon recruitments, and given the response I dare say Ehmry Bay, or at least the regular crowd in Lion's Arch, isn't too fond of role play. I'd be asked to have my mouth shut, often with the request accompanied by profanity.

However, considering how I'm often asked to cease with my jabbering in that particular forum regardless of the topic at hand, I might just be ill-fitted somehow. Apparently involving time dilation when discussing ArenaNet's ability to be on time with promised events isn't appreciated at all.

It was easier to just say "I've rp'd with Techni" than say the exact same thing as him - sorry for the confusion.

I know how it can be. Part of the reason Furys Charge is still so small is because people just shrug us off when we say we're an RP Guild. No reason we can't do all the things the game has to offer while actually making use of the storytelling elements already in there and trying to make things more epic.

If not my guild...then another one? I haven't seen an active RP guild ever. And found these forums while seeing if it does exist.

Bless! Not to worry though; the plebeians have voiced their opinion which I took careful note of and then swiftly disposed of.

Lol not sure, it depends on the storyline and scenarios whoevers involved? Organized is basically that, like knowing who's actually in the rp/group, what the storyline(s) are, what to do to develop the plots, and kinda seeing where which characters are going to interact? And also like how does the system work? Are there villain roles, etc etc, how do you decide the outcome of events in the storyline, and so on... Who is setting up the overall setting/situation/starting storyline, And all those things like how systematic/formal or casual/open ended will the group want it to be... I think those kinds of questions need to be organized if there should be something we can do together !

We would need a game master for this RP or things may not keep to a storyline very well. we should also incorporate the many dynamic events that happen to add to the fun. The early DE's have gone forgotten and would be awesome to find something that the group hasnt done before.

Was in WvW about two weeks ago and exited through the portal to Lions Arch and there were two females RPing as NPCs near the Dungeon Vendors. It was the funniest thing ever. It even matched all the weird npc chatter going around that fort. Too bad I forgot to get a screenshot of it.

Also, raised by Quaggans? What in the...lol.

I was part of a good RP guild on one of the SWTOR RP servers and we had people that did more RP than actual leveling. lol Without a specified server for it, though, organized events like the ones we had are hard to find and even harder to put together. (When you have people who join a RP server not knowing the difference or purposefully trolling the newbie areas, imagine how hard it can be to get serious players without that RP label.)

One of the things that was frowned upon in RP on SWTOR was sticking completely to the storyline given by the game for your character's background.  After all, not everyone can be the special apprentice of suchandsuch sith who killed soandso jedi, and trying to play off that gets confusing for everyone.  I do agree that you shouldn't be snobbish toward someone who does choose to do this and refuse to play with them, however.

Just think of it as your character existing across two continuities.

Wait......if we're doing furry rping then can I be a beaver? Or is that not a furry? It's my first time. :(  How would rp work with gw2? Does conversation switch by events and travels? What about opposing story lines?
