Sorry haven didn't make it. I was tired from working mon through sat and then dumb Easter sunshine making me tired. Literally, our entire guild roster said either rata sum or super adventure box. No one wanted to unplug and go find bounties.

I had to force people from GH to show as well :P We had 108 online and only 16 were not inside the Super Adventure Box when I did my original tally for players willing to scout.

This past week did not seem to go as well. A few points to consider: If 7 guilds each have 15 people with one at each target throughout the fight...we'd be fine. 7 on a target should suffice (with a few notable exceptions). But what I saw happen this past week is that a guild sent the bulk of it's members on a loop of their targets...raising the number of fighters from 9 to 29 which scaled the enemy off the charts. This mob mentality was , no doubt, an attempt to force a win for a guild...but at what expense? we should TRY to keep the numbers at most bounties under 10. People NEED to understand that all that has to happen for your guild to get credit is that A member must participate in the fight. People need to understand that more is not always better. Aside from the issues with non-participating guilds starting the bounties just before we had intended, It may be helpful for 2 or 3 guilds to team up (depending on numbers) instead of having the success of this little enterprise become it's downfall with too many people participating. Also, I try to keep my people off of map chat unless they are actually pinging waypoints or being helpful, but shit talkin' in map chat is not helpful. Please have your members try to remember to give the respect that they expect.

This IS a good thing...

Book, a lot of the guilds participating do not have 15 members online  to track each target.

But to your other point. Sunday sucked because of:
1. other guilds interfering with our bounty run- we may need to adjust our time again.
2. bugs that prevents a number of guilds from completing their bounty (TOSH failed due to a bug with Sotzz)
3. the changes made to make the bounties more difficult.

we just need a little more practice :)

i'm almost afraid to start a bounty with him looming around as a possible candidate. he seems to pop up quite a bit.

Here's a proposal. Lets get everyone on. We'll pop a tier one and we can do two things: to one target we'll send 9 people and to the other we'll send EVERYBODY else  (or some smaller group...lets say 100) and the rest can see the effects of scaling. If I am wrong about it...I'll apologize in advance (and actually I hope I am!).

I also agree that the bounties are more difficult and maybe the numbers for scaling have gone up.

The Sotzz thing just sucks

Questions:
What I would like to see is some hard numbers on how scaling effects the survivability of these bounties.
Good information on the attack/battle mechanics (how often he needs to be hit before he resets)
Would a rolling attack be better for some targets. 10 fighting...as you die you respawn and someone who was waiting in the wings (on a nearby hill) runs in. So that there is a constant flow of bodies in and a constant number of attackers.

Is there (or would it be feasible to have/create) a database with this kind of information for the bounties? We, at TEW, are considering doing a few tier 1s and trying differing numbers of people to see if we can see a difference. I'll share that info here when we get it done. If other do similar, please post info.

@BOOK - IMTL has confirmed already that the fewer people to get on these bosses for the Bounties the easier it is.(5 is all that is really needed) 3 weeks ago we took on 1 of the bosses with 15 members. It was rough. The following week we sent 5 people on one of the missions and they owned the boss in less than 3 mins. So the scaling factor has been proven by us.

Aside from that, one of my Guildies pointed out this thread to me and I thought I would jump in here for IMTLs benefit and say we would be interested in helping.

The only concern I have is with our confirmation of how the bosses are scaling, the more people you have on these things the harder it is. Sooooooo.....why have all the people trying to do these bosses when 5 people are all you really need per boss.

I'm not being negative about the subject or anything. More people usually means it makes things easier, but from our experience, with these bounties it just makes things harder. Much Harder.

That's not true for all bounties. Some you definitely need more people on. I'll agree though that a majority of them only need a few people.

Also, what would be your guys' thoughts on a different time/date? I'm open to discussion since we are having "repeat offender" guilds on these bounty nights who refuse to change their timing for us despite letting them know that there are many people trying to work together on these.

Lastly, how would people feel about the possibility of guesting to a less populated server for these missions?

I know IMTL is very flexible. Aside from Mondays Wednesdays & Fridays being our raid nights &  WvW Reset night on Friday. Those days would definitely be out for us.

Imo, weekends would be more ideal as for those of us that work for a living we find more time on the weekends to get things done. But as I said we can be flexible in my guild. Being as these bounties only take minutes to complete. The hardest part of these bounties is the tracking down of the bosses. Which is a real PITA since AN no longer lets us stop them at the WPs.

I'll be keeping tabs on this thread for my guild and keep checking back on responses and see what everyone else has to say about it.

TOSH would be willing to try a different date/time, but we're pretty constrained to the weekends. Is there any chance Sunday afternoon would work?

Also, just as a side note- in the future, we'll be doing Tier 1 bounties just to save us the frustration. Until strategies are worked out to take down these bosses, we feel our efforts are better spent on finishing the stupid thing, rather than trying for the higher tier.

TEW can roll at a different time as well. It may be beneficial to have guilds 'band' together for these bounties because having one or two guilds with too many participants is helping no one. This way we can run a few different times and, hopefully, everyone can get what they need. We too have seen the scaling greatly effect the outcome (we did Deputy Brooke with only 4 and had a fifth show up just as we were finishing) and have also seen numbers seem to help. More definitive information is needed on individuals and shared with the group...or maybe shared with Dulfy to be added to their web site.

Haven could try for a different time. I was too tired to try and organize them last week. Sundays tend to be tough because it's when we get a lot of dungeoning done and such.
