So bit off topic and weird but my sleep deprived mind has been wondering only one thing from this thread... Why does everyone names their squads things like Echo, Blood, Shadow?
Why not name them after cool things like Thundercats or Transformers, Don't you tell me you don't want to be part of no Squad Optimus Prime now.

Essentially I think this is a base problem the entire internet has not just this game, not just these forums. You said it yourself in a way "You would say far worse to each other in person." it is often hard to tell how thick or thin a persons skin on a subject is when you are looking at a digital avatar and not the real person, You can't really see if they are laughing, crying or sighing you just have to go off your best interpretation which at the best of times is no more than Mostly Accurate.
Replace real people with screens and things will get a lot more out of hand emotionally, so yeah your not getting old just the technology of the present.

Lol eh I don't mind so much as what their names are, but rather what they do or what they stand for. If I were to make a squad name though, I think I'd go for something like squad Bacon or Apache. Optimus Prime does sound pretty good too hahaha
