I don't know you, but I often see you around and I know you used to organize alot of events and such. Unfortunately there are alot of trolls and jealous people out there who can and will try to drag others down. I don't think this is specific to Ehmry Bay. There are a**holes everywhere, however I hope you find a server you like. Thank you for your contribution to the Ehmry Bay community.

You didn't deserve this...hell no one should , I know it seems to other people that you do nothing , considering they just joined the server or only catch you on the ledge at the time ; but I've seen you in action , very active morning hours , host epic events ; I'm retired too , I used to lead top pvp guilds on other mmos , farm 12+hrs a day , host events , ect.

I never had help with anything , because I refused it , Hell I would've had several legendaries by now , but I don't now do I? Cause I've been helping others instead =p , I don't regret any of it , just the ones that take advantage of me ; Just like you , you never asked for help , you just said out of the clear blue sky , "I need to get a sunrise LOL" , nothing wrong with that no? No.

People heard it , they offered you help ; why not? they already have their legends , they were close friends of yours , people that you knew for several months or even years ; just good friends helping out you know? Hell I offered help too , like I do with everyone , like now I'm currently helping someone get  mats for their "The Dreamer" , cause I'm just being myself and a friend .

Trolls will always be there , but ehmry's community has been getting sad lately , I've seen a brighter era , guess this is the fall of ehmry once again...

I might transfer also , to an empty server possibly back to where I was born (Anvil Rock) , I consider ehmry as my home , but not so much anymore , still love all of you and I hope I am good enough to be called your friend

This is very unfortunate. I personally have only exchanged hellos with Reina in game, but also know how proactive she is with the community. For as long as I've been on these forums, she's definitely been one of the more outgoing personalities on the server.

With that said, it comes with the popularity. People will troll and say shit just for shits and giggles, perhaps even to make themselves stand out in their own circles. I agree with the sentiment said earlier that this would happen on another server. Perhaps you might not know about it because we have a more open community here on Ehmry, but what really is the difference? Eventually word will get out and you'll be hurt again.

Let people think what they want. It's a game, play how you want, when you want. If people are calling you out for your game play, perhaps they were never your friends and you shouldn't be hurt by them.

If your mind is already made up, then good luck and I am sure you will find another community that appreciates what you do for it. BUT it is also obvious many people genuinely enjoy your company and contributions here. A simply block command or even a week off the game can do wonders. Although I don't know you much, I hope you reconsider. If not, thanks for everything.

You are generalizing about all of EBay here, which is unwarranted. If I read this correctly, the issue is a with a small minority of individuals.

Reina, I can't say I knew you well but you always seemed like a genuinely nice and cheerful human being. The few times I saw you on the ledge were pretty cool because I've always seen you on these forums. It's neat when you can make that connection across multiple forms of media.

Sadly, what you've encountered is endemic to society at large and is a problem not limited to games. The world is full of small, petty, and insecure people who will make your life miserable if you let them. Really, the best remedy is to pick yourself up and move on, distance yourself from those who offer little enrichment to your life, and continue forward as a stronger individual.

Always remember to step back and take a break when things get rough. I wish you the best in your endeavors.

She is leaving because of a small group of people on Ehmry, of who (as far as I know) are not associated with GH. I personally have never ridiculed or labeled Reina. I respect her as an individual.

The problem I have with you is

• you come in here and "innocuously" try to poach a member of our community when she is trying to communicate her issues and concerns

Maybe it's just because I have no friends and so no one would care if I left, but I sorta feel like if I'm gonna leave, I would do it without making any sort of spectacle out of it.  I'd just quietly pack my things and go, and no one would notice except in occasional passing where they might go "wonder what happened to that guy".

That's not saying that I don't understand what you're saying, and it sucks to hear this sort of thing is going on.  More that I don't see a need for this to be a thread.  If you have friends you want to say goodbye to, you can always message them privately in-game to say your goodbyes.  And it's not like you'd be "gone" anyways, guesting is still a "thing" and you could still play content with them using those mechanics.

But by making a thread of it, you really give those people way too much power over you.  You essentially gave them a "victory".

This isn't about making a thread or not about it. She felt like she needed to say goodbye publiclyafter being an active member in this forum since the start of the game. There's a difference between people who have maybe made 50 posts to someone who has posted about 1500.

I just wish Reina all the best in wherever she decides to go and hope that the trolls would never bother her there again. It's just sad to see a core member of this community just pack up and leave because of those who can't care to think about what she goes through as she's highlighted in her post.

Moreover, Thuley your post on how every community is correct about having trolls but there are some places for individuals that seem to have a higher density of them and it's not about the existence of such people but the intensity of the harrassment received on a daily basis. That is what's caused Reina to sadly go.

I don't think post count is at all relevant here.  If it's concern over your friends not knowing, there are plenty of in-game mechanics to get the message out.

It's simply a matter of whether or not you want to give these undesirables the attention they crave or not.  She decided to go public.  And that's not a decision I would make, be it now or ten years from now.  Again, maybe it's just easier for me to say because no friends, but all the same, that's how I feel about it, and that's always how I'll feel about it.  I'm not keen on making a spectacle of my activities, be it the guilds that I join/leave, or the servers I swap to, or even when I leave games altogether.

That's not to say I disrespect her for it or anything.  Only that I think she's basically giving the trolls what they want by posting this.  They're not suddenly going to change their attitudes and say "oh, now that Reina's gone, I see the error of my ways", they're going to say "YES, we got her!" and then move on to the next target.  That's how trolls operate.

Y'know, I'm really starting to feel like Ebay is the unofficial vacation server of GW2.

I mean, seriously, does no one ever stay anymore?

What's worse is, the people who actually do leave stay on the forums to essentially continue whining, griping, annoying, and poaching.  There's a difference between using the forums to stay in touch with the community and using it to kick Ebay when it's down.

@Reina: Sorry you've been harassed and all that, and if you think you'll find greener pasture somewhere else, more power to you.  However, internet trolls are like scavengers--they don't look for a fight, they prey on weakness.  Instead of, well, if you'll forgive the expression, manning up, you're leaving and that essentially marks you as a victim that you'll never be able to escape if people on wherever you go hear about it.

@Evilzara:  Maybe something like this won't happen on BP, because I've noticed that some of the worst members of EBay are the ones who bandwagoned here from AR and BP.  Regardless, stop painting our entire community with the same brush.  And for fuck's sake, this isn't the thread for you to try to yank people off to BP.
