It's fun just walking up to a fully sieged keep, knocking on  a door, and kindly being let in. The guards make a lovely welcoming committee.

I don't see it as SF imploding, I see it as DH finally realizing that SF being close to them is worse then NSP running away with the match. I can't see us being that much better then we were when we were match with DH for like 3 weeks. It's just we're facing servers with less night-time presence then us (Ehmry) for the first time in awhile. If we face SoR/DH/NSP i think we won't do near as well because they all have sizable night/morning crews like us. KA is the one that seems to be imploding.

Yes Rimmy this thread got side tracked and lost a long time ago. Oh well perhaps we can readdress the issue at a later date.

I agree with you. All of those servers have a large enough night presence and primetime presence to keep us held down. However, outside of those 3 I'm not sure who else. Before I heard of the Kaineng exodus I would have put us behind them as they were primarily driven by OCX/EU cappers and still had a decent showing during prime-time. Now I don't think that would hold up.

If we dont loose momentum and actually get same numbers or a little more...I think a DH/NSP/Ebay matchup to be quite interesting even if we finish 3rd tho i hope it isnt next week since my wvw time will be about none existant. I dont want to see SoR...Sewers of Ruins.

Commanding and feeling like a baddass god with his legion of immortal briganers...has been a refreshing change this week even tho at times ive decided to detag since people were just scattering and not being unitized for anything substantly good to be had.

Alot of new people this week and like some said new guild tags everwhere...not sure what to make of it...50% sell, transfer...we have that many pvers that made the wvw leap...etc??? am in the dark.

Could be just an influx of returning players with the next feature pack announced.  I imagine some of them are PVE players too.

We have had 3 weeks of first place. We will lose momentum when we hit a wall like every other server out there.

As I've said the fairweathers are happy. There is a lot of blood in the water, and they will continue to head towards it so long as it's there.

Other servers have also lost their guilds that give them major coverage and numbers, and serve as training for other guilds on their server. For example, Sorrow's Furnace lost a megablob guild of 50+ every night called [LORD],  I remember them fondly because during our first few nights of raiding we fought them, and they used very advanced methods of WvWing and were heavily coordinated despite their blob being massive. A guild group of 50 is not to be trifled with.

On the note of Fergusson's Crossing, they lost TWO large and very important guilds. Much like how Ehmry lost theirs. They lost [EDGE] and [WZ].  Both of which could field massive numbers and coverage, and both utilized a lot of coordination despite their group size. With them gone, FC is feeling the pain, and we're feeling the rain of bags.

Wow LORD and EDGE are two I recognize, and had a icky feeling if I saw them turn up on home BL.  They lost them?  That's sad news.

WvW gets stale, so I can see why they'd want to move.  You don't really move in ranking unless something devastating happens to you or your opponents (such as guild exoduses.)  And WvW is very unloved when it comes to updates, but Anet is throwing us a few small bones in the next September update, so we got that going for us at least.

My heart goes out to those who lost their guilds, yet remain and the servers who suffer for the losses.

Long live Fairweather Bay though.

I think a lot of the PVE content is a bit stale as well, people came back for the new story line.  Some of those who were bored or disappointed with it, ended up giving WvW a chance.  It is a good thing.
Also, some guilds do silly things if we lack opponents on raid nights. . .
Even without the other players. . . .WvW can still be shockingly fun ;P

Now if only there were a cure for the hangovers that result . . .

Raven, you do realize that those guilds left their respective servers because they thought they were too good for these tiers right? Apparently even [svrn] from ET believed they were faced with "no challenge" down here and decided to xfer up to T3. A lot of the guilds that left their servers in the dust were pompous and believed they were the hottest shit around, so they moved up to T3 where they thought they'd feel like even more hot shit.

[svrn] was from BP initially I believe, so I can understand their leaving (when you start xfering, can you stop? )

I'm just glad to see that other servers are being put through what we have had to deal with, so that I get to sit here and observe how fabulously they crash and burn. Ehmry had plenty of WvW obsessed people remain when we lost our guilds. Lets just hope that the other servers still have some as well, for their sake.

While true Crosius, it's still a shame.  And I was trying to be polite.  I find it strange that the "I'm better than everyone else" developes with certain individuals or groups, but I can see why it would.  It seems foolish and insulting to say "We left because there was no challenge".  Personlly I think the phrase is a scapegoat for the real reason and i often feel that it's more like "you guys will be so sorry we are gone, you'll wish you respected us more!"
