It depends on the type of casein.  There's alpha-s1 casein in cow's milk, ,alpha-s2, beta...  Anyway, cow's milk has primarily alpha-s1.  Goat's is primarily beta- and alpha-s2 with trace alpha-s1.  I still cannot overindulge, but I can at least have goat's milk right now.  In my area, it's hard to find anything beside's cow's.  I personally don't care as long as it's not cow's milk, I've learned I can't be picky.

The hard part is getting it through family and friends' heads what my issue actually is, but it's frustrating when they get mad at me over something I cannot control.

Sorry to hear that. I'm with Rimmy. If you like soy milk, everyone else can piss off with their damn health crazes. I see one of my friends every year at an anime convention, and he always forgets I'm a vegetarian, but he "remembers there's something wrong with [me]". Then he tells me about his latest fad diet. This year it was...Paleo? That cave man one.

+10 points if when you get sick, you are loudly sick for at least two hours, loudly and messily.  THAT would definitely fill your in-law in regrets forever.

The other day, we went to Fuddruckers.  Asked for a burger, no cheese, no butter on the bun.

20 minutes later, my burger is done.  Big-honkin' slice of cheddar, bun is obviously buttered.  We had to wait an additional 15 minutes for a replacement; meanwhile I was shaking a little with hunger, upset about a burger getting wasted, and concerned about my no-butter-bun being a spat-on-bun.

Anyway, if I didn't mention it:  I can have goat's milk based stuff.  If I get sick from it, it's not anywhere near as bad.  The yogurt didn't make me sick at all and it was about a week past the (relatively meaningless) "best by" date.

Well not sure where buttered buns comes in with caffeine rolf:) and issue but to stay up later I need to crash on my soft drink caffeine to play later in the week evenings...tho I should try to drink a few of them when am hyper-active and on Sanji men my roaming partners wont be happy.

But really caffeine is bad ... yeah bad:)

P.S.: I hope it wasnt the case LannFan...I think we always have doutes like that me its mostly I think when a resto servers me cold soup....and I dont like my soups boiling but sometimes it feels like it was in the freezer not the micro or stove...its polar bear days here indeed.
