I just want WvW to be fun again.  After Season 1 ended, it seems like something just gave out.  Losing DIE, VOID, and others really has taken a toll too.  The DB/BP double-crisco-fist has grown beyond wearisome.  Last week was our chance at having some more relaxed fun and really turning things around morale-wise, but then we got Scarlet And Her Puppet Pals.  That is unlikely to change in the near future as the living world content wraps up over the next month and some change.

I don't think that the tier drop we will see from this will be good for us.  We're not just losing WvW people.  We're losing another chunk of our playerbase.  I know that on a personal level I do not want to drop to such a low tier that all we have left is small groups wiping on towers because of one defender on an AC.

I will wait to see how my guild reacts and discuss it with Soul, but the signs have been clear for a while now.

Yup... People should transfer alone to other servers to try it before transferring entire guild to another place.

If you loved WvW in ebay, BP might be the best server for you. They have a great WvW community and look a lot like we used to be many months ago.

I played many weeks on BP and it was great.

Not sure why there's this public perception that we're all going in blind. We've had people from our guild over on other servers for over a month checking them out to make sure they are absolutely the right place. None's perfect, but SoS has a lacking NA presence with strong Sea which is exactly what we're looking for. Plus queues are kind of rare outside of a full blown raid/defense of a borderland.

You know, it`s only a handful of players, albeit a couple of our leaders, that decide to leave. Not entire guild. I`m in ZoD and heard about it on the forum lol... Pretty sad. 20 players have decided to move to another server. If 300 sheeps follow... Oh well...

I'm pretty sure a transfer is an informed decision. And everyone is free to make a choice. No one is forcing anyone to do anything. If your self-esteem requires you to think that all those people are as you say "sheep", then I guess you are free to think that too. But that's just me - I'm an easy going person. Maybe some of those "sheep" would think differently. Just a thought.

Spying from SoS 'cause there's never enough cat gifs :3

You know what this means, don't you?

This opens the door for Ebay becoming a bandwagon server in the next WvW season.

Thanks, guys.  Really.

This Migration is massive and for ppl to say "Guilds leave all the time"  Not like this.

Not to pick an argument, but other servers have seen far larger migrations. Remember that weird EU guild that showed up here for a week, they were actually three guilds cause they had so many people that they couldn't fit it all into one.

Look at the historic Tier 1 servers, SBI comes to mind, huge exodus, now they are in mid-tiers after having been in bottom tiers for a while.

If tier standing is important to one then one needs to transfer to whatever tier they want to be in.  If tier standing is not important to one then WvW goes on as if nothing happened.

Yup, you guys really underestimate this.

There are a total of 4 confirmed world vs world guilds in our server who are moving to SoS...and another 1 but still thinking where to.

ZoD will be bringing with us our 40+ NA(of which we have over 30 hardcore wvw players), 20+ oceanic and 15+ europeans..(to do this constantly you need about 200 active members so we will be moving roughly 200 members at minimum)

GH will be bringing 30+ NA ( to do this constantly you need about 100 active members)

The other 2 mid sized guilds will be bringing with them about 15-20

The other 1 thinking about it will be bringing 10-15.

But yeah, it will take about 2 months before Ehmry can settle to its new rank.

I don't underestimate anything Noice.  My primary gameplay, which is small action, will not be touched.  Honestly, I won't even notice, except that now and then I'll tag up again.

We have had bigger migrations happen.  When you guys leave, we will shake the dust off and carry on.  The world won't end.  Don't flatter yourselves that much.  You will be missed.  We will talk fondly about you now and again (like we still do with the original guilds) and honestly, we will just keep doing what we do.

It isn't the end of Ebay and only your egos can make that seem to be the case.

Hopefully the new guilds that emerge after this don't bloat to 500 members unless they want to be the big fish in a small pond.

What bigger migrations or transfers have occurred on Ehmry? I'm just curious?

If your talking about SM and HIRE or BP leaving yeah SM and BP were not as big as GH even together. And HIRE was not as big as ZoD. So I think you are misinformed on the topic. Not to mention we lost VOID.

Just so you know I haven't made my decision on whether I'm leaving or not. I'm honestly thinking about quitting the game. I just don't have the time to play anymore. Plus I have felt the game is broken and have felt that way for a long time. I just don't have the drive to log in and play.

Underestimate what? You think everyone will show up next Friday for reset and we'll get an in game pop up stating "sorry, server closed due to guilds leaving"?

I like you Noice, but I have never grouped with you.  The benefits I have gained (which were appreciated) were in score.  We'll still login, head into a WvW zone, and after a few weeks... we'll play against more similar numbers where we'll occaissionally get rolled and someone on vent will blame it on uplevels.  When we win we'll say how great we are and when we lose we'll complain about the other side zerging.   We'll have some drama king/queen complain about drama, and yada, yada, yada.

In short... the beat will go on.
People stated we would drop in rank.
People stated that core leaders left and we'll be even shorter off peak than we have been.
People have stated WvW matchups the next few weeks will be painful.
What exactly do you think will happen because of the current set of guilds leaving? :P

Short term i think morale will be down, ebay will drop a tier and WvW will hurt since ZOD and GH held most of the old guard and experience. That's reality but given how brokrn the system is you can't blame them. Im personally taking a small break from the game and then likely following ZOD for a fresh start.

That said it will allow new people to shine and step up to the plate, people will rally to Valhalla and ZOMG making them the new big WvW guilds. Razgerb will grow SM and in tier 5 or 6 ebay will rally and grow again. Eventully some will cimeback.

Basically once the sting us gone and people have cooled off. Wvw will be back to normal just with fresh faces.

Can be found either in the Harathi Hinterlands slaying the ulgoth or Lurking in scritt caves ambushing enemy players on the borderlands. Occasionally I'll borrow a golem and steal half a borderland

Sorry about my harsh comments today. I got a little bit worked out by the situation.

Ebay will survive and it will still be a very fun place to be on!

Good luck to everyone :)

I'd recommend just leaving with your friends if you're debating about it. You'll probably be happier.

As for everyone who's staying, [SM] Storm Machine is recruiting players who are exceptionally skilled at combat (know your stuff), so if you find yourself guild-less after the migration give RazGerb, Mirror Owl or me a shout.

I'm actually pretty happy about this to be honest because we will drop to tier 6 or 7 and find fights better suited to our guilds size. Goes for everyone really, we have a lot of small guilds currently. It will be like rising from the ashes. A much needed morale boost for everyone.

I expect more than just a one tier dip, myself, since we're talking the two largest NA guilds and the biggest skill group.  Shy of a pretty big rally around what's left, the dip could be as many as two tiers.

Ehmry's at the bottom of T4 right now, but this shift will probably push us down into upper T6.  Henge and CD are about equal as of this moment and both will outnumber us after this move.  And IoJ will definitely pass us up.  So that's already bottom T5 without even looking at anything else.  And Darkhaven's been a bit of a rising star in their tier so it's not inconceivable they'll pass us eventually, too.  But yeah, I see those first three passing us after this change goes through, barring a crazy strong rally behind our remaining guilds.

It's pretty much up to whoever's staying to keep the server from suffering an outright AR-esque free-fall beyond that point.

This is why you don't shoot your mouth off about how great you are, while continuing to lose match after match.  Enjoy your new ranking, Ehmry Bay.  It's truly the one you deserved.

This may be a blessing in disguise. Ehmry has always had a pretty decent sized PvE population, that has avoided WvW like a plague to the mass levels of toxicity. Maybe now we'll be able to bring in some new blood from PvE and maybe the people leaving will be happier on their new servers.
