There's one problem with this. There is a chance that the people leaving are not who made WvW toxic, at which point nothing will change. Just pointing this out since I have no clue exactly who/what made it so toxic to begin with. How the toxicity level changes in Ebay WvW in the coming months will tell everything.
I wasn't labeling either group as the Toxic Group or referring to WvW in particular, just the server as a whole. If you pay attention to the various forums and in-game chats, you see a lot of WvW people talking crap about PvE people and vice versa. So, if the mostly WvW people are going to a place that is more WvW oriented, they will get less negativity from the PvE crowd. The more PvE oriented group will remain with the more PvE oriented place, and get less negativity from the WvW group.
I just figured that if each group were able to be in a place better suited to their preferences, then more people might be happier with their gaming.

I love how you describe the situation! PvE wise, Ehmry is the perfect place to be but WvW wise...people are playing less since late last year so some of us sacrificed more in terms of time and money just to push the server up. It's becoming more of a stress rather than fun.
You must also see it from the oceanics view in our server. A group of less than 15 of us keep on guard for the server while the NA guys sleep and believe me it's like having a threesome with the other 2 servers with us being the chicken on a rotisserie. And oooh boy NNK.. that guild really did it for me with their hacking...

Though, with college and all the games coming out this year, I'm not sure if I'll be able to play at all. I've kind of burned out my interest to play WvW, now actually. idk

Nah. This isn't true. As a PvE player looking for a new server, PvE here sucks balls. Meta events are pretty much empty unless it's right at reset. Temple runs? What temple runs? I don't know if I'll follow GH to SoS since I'm not sure how PvE friendly that server is, but I definitely plan to move to some server with a better PvE community.

It's hard to make this argument when Ebay was the first NA server to kill Marionette.
I just finished xferring to SoS, but there's no reason to hate on Ebay just cos you left. PvE can be played anywhere at any time, you transfer for WvW. I'll be guesting to Ebay all the time for PvE events with friends!

Hopefully, you're correct. If me and my friends leaving are what allows you to have a better team fight, then I'm sure your gaming is going to be a blast. I know those of us who've transferred over already are having one.
To those who I've played with in PvE and fought along side in WvW, thanks for the memories. I've been on Ehmry Bay since the first beta weekend. I was in Gehenna [GHNA] the first Ebay guild to claim Stonemist and was there for many of our first server victories.
Special thanks to Thuley for all the hard work he did for our Teamspeak and the forums.
Shout out to Rill for all the wonderful community events she's put together I've had the privledge to participate in.
Thanks to Drak and Jamaica for some wonderful memories and the commrodary we shared.
I hope that everyone continues to have fun. If you're not having fun, I hope you find something that can change that for you.
Best of luck to you, Ebay.

It's actually very easy to make that argument. We killed the marionette first, yeah. Mostly because most other other servers focused on the worm. Still yeah. First kill. I've yet to experience or hear about a successful marionette since that day. I think there was one Friday night maybe, but there's a large gap between first kill and Friday night.
I haven't left Ehmry yet and I've been on it since the first beta weekend, so i feel pretty entitled to my annoyance. I spend most of my game time guesting into Blackgate.
Anyways, Ehmry is a server. Leave or stay, it's a server. I feel no allegiance, maybe because I don't wvw or take part in any large guild stuff, but do what you want. I can still dungeon with people on SoS if I want, so this affects me in a very minimal way.
[EDIT] whoever that guy posting above me is, someone tell me what server he's on so I can either leave it or avoid it. Thanks.

I play way too much right now and see temples done on Ehmry maybe once or twice a night, usually only right at reset and most of the times Balth fails and Sometimes Grenth does. That frequency is probably fine for most players, but I prefer places where there is a constant presence, not just a reset presence. If I guest to Blackgate at 2am server time, which works for me, there is usually a group flipping temples. More people, more events.
Unfortunately, I missed your temple runs today. Was actually slightly excited to get in on that. Silly real life.

It took us several days longer than most other servers to best Teq, and some servers still organize daily runs at Teq and beat it in the same vein that we do Karka Queen.
We're nowhere near killing the wurm, either. Our organization isn't bad, but after observing groups like Blackgate and how they run their PvE campaigns against the wurm, it's clear that we are woefully inferior in that regard. Their commanders all communicate flawlessly, and their players execute instructions to the letter. I watched them super-burn a wurm down to 5% health, and then the instant the commander shouted "stop DPS", the wurm's health didn't so much as budge a millimeter. When have we EVER executed with that kind of precision here on Ehmry?
Temple runs? Dungeon openings? There are some servers who almost never have theirs locked, because people are always going there to get them fixed.
So yeah, I wouldn't say our PvE "sucks balls", but it's not top of the line either. We're a mid-tier PvE server, honestly.
This is why you don't shoot your mouth off about how great you are, while continuing to lose match after match. Enjoy your new ranking, Ehmry Bay. It's truly the one you deserved.
