By that thinking the off topic portion of the site shouldn't exist at all since it doesn't even have to be about the game.  We are a guild on ehmry bay playing with other ebay players, it's not just evil members that are invited to these discussions that's why it's on the general discussion thread.  I'm sorry if you find it inconvenient that our thread has near constant traffic but it's better then the world looking dead to potential players coming to our world that look at our forum and see nothing is ever being talked about between the players on it.  I've been on this world since I started near launch and the community is what keeps me on it, I love the comradery that the people here have.  Requesting us to move to off-topic or something like that would be acceptable but straight up telling us to get off the site is just rude.

I don't see any problem with it, personally. It easily meets the section's criteria and evidently non-EVIL folks follow the discussion from time to time too.

Lol, wow, the strawman is real.  This forum hardly depends on one small guild holding their internal discussions in this thread to not "look dead to potential players".  If you, as a guild, feel like you have so much to discuss, why on earth would you not want to have a guild forum?  You can create rather nice forums for free in the space of a couple of minutes.

Thanks biff.  I'm not saying evil is holding down the fort for everyone.  After rereading what I wrote I did make it kind of sound like that, but that's not how I ment it and I'm sorry if that offended you and the others that keep the forums going.  As a small guild we don't have a need for a full forum to our own as only a couple of our members are very active on this thread.  But I'm finding this bickering back and forth trivial and toxic to the reason of this thread so I'm done responding to this topic now.  So thank you for your concern slein but it seems others also agree that this topic is not disruptive to the forum as a whole and don't mind it being here.

OG, does have its own forums . . . . If you want to know how to set up your own, bug Flutts.  He knows how to set them up, do the server hosting etc.

And straight out...I couldn't be bothered making my own website...I joined other guild websites in the passed only to see the guilds die with their webpages....Clan, PURR, DUSK, to name 3.

Until Thuley says otherwise...I'll be posting to guild and emhrians alike on this particular tread.

So to bring this back on topic...

The fractals last night were pretty fun, how often do you guys run them together?  I don't see it being something I do all the time but I wouldn't mind a challenge every now and again.  I did get blown up a couple times so I definitely have room to improve and learn but you gotta start somewhere.  To bad my somewhere was on the floor a lot :/

Its been a change from regular dungeons.

But its was mostly me pushing them in when we had fractal dailies and such.

Being a new member I wasn't looking to stir anything up and I'm sorry that went on as long as it did.  I was just going to overlook his initial post but after Fraani said something and he responded I couldn't hold me tongue.  I made this thread to keep in touch with the couple of you that use this site and don't condone or harass anyone from outside the guild popping in, I don't even know most people from the guild names on here so half the time I'm probably talking to someone not even in the guild.  It's just a friendly thread to talk about stuff, and just so happens to also help us organize guild stuff from time to time.  If there is a big outcry for us to stop then we will find another outlet to use, but I don't see how this doesn't really fit the general discussion part of the forums.

I'm always bored when I'm by myself.  I really don't need to map complete another toon.  I prefer in this order dungeons, fractals (thanks for the introduction Sanji), WvW, SW then the rest of the game.  I like to collect gold

So your more of a dungeoneer then a WvWer huh?  Mind taking my wife under your wing, I'm "to tough on her" when I run dungeons with her and she gets frustrated or something I guess.  That and she isn't much into pvp, she likes pve a whole lot more which is why she timid to go into wvw.

That is what I prefer, not always how it happens.  All you have to do is shake your head and grin.  I'm sure I get a whole lot of that from the north pole.  She can come along anytime.

I try to just shake it off but years of being running dungeons in wow has corrupted me it would seem.  I got good enough to screw around while healing or tanking and not bat an eye because it was so easy that I became semi elitist without wanting to be.  I'm usually pretty good at letting it go but for whatever reason I can't fully let go with her and usually just make her mad   I might not play a lot, but when I do play I play for keeps. It might have something to do with her being my wife and having higher expectations then most from her.  Sad but true

I can always be "reasoned with", but you have to employ actual faculties of reason in order to do it.  I'm more comfortable than most with having my views challenged, but I expect those who challenge them to actually present well-reasoned arguments.

It literally takes no more than 5 minutes.  And you can organise it however you want, regulate the access to be as open or as private as you like, etc.  It would seem to be downright negligent for any so-called guild "leader" to not want to provide that for his members.  Usually getting the membership interested in participating in forums is a battle guild leaders struggle to fight, but yours has already demonstrated that they're not only willing, but actively seeking that involvement, so you should step up and provide that for them.

What's that got to do with anything?  You're not seriously trying to insinuate that their having forums lead to their deaths, are you?  Lol.

So we are going to build a site to have 1 thread on a forum there.  Sounds like a colossal waste of time to put together when we already have the like 5 of us from the guild that use the forum on here.  Plus we still get to check out the other things going on like in wvw and stuff on ehmry all in 1 place.  Sure if we had a big guild and like 15+ people constantly talking I would see the benefit, but as it stands it's only a few of us.

It wouldn't be difficult to create a separate guild site, but there really wouldn't be much point in doing so. We don't need our own site; a thread or two in which we can chit-chat and/or discuss plans, etc., is quite sufficient for our purposes. Sanji is hardly being "negligent."

On topic: the fractals are growing on me. I really like how they're standalone little episodes built around a theme or a part of GW lore.
