Yeah, I guess at least you can see this...probably. They won't be able to do it and also have shortbow escape at least. I'm mostly salty that warriors get a 10s stun break and they act like it's this huge deal, but then they hand thieves the same thing but with a block which can also cause knockdown and then benefits from a 20% CD trait on top of that...

EDIT: Looks like the Bandit's Defense utility will have it's CD become 15s instead of 10s!

On the other hand, they don't have a wicked Outrage/Rousing Resilience combo to take advantage of. Can't wait to playtest that. Assuming it works on demand like with Balanced Stance. The pessimist in me predicts it will end up as just another watered down version of another class's skill though.

Because they nerfed the thieve's acrobatics to shit and made them rather useless other than a stealth bot. Then buffed mesmers to wazoo. Thieves do need a little help for once.

They can start by reworking stealth instead of keeping them as a gimmick class. Until then, I don't feel bad for them.

This, a thousand times. Stealth and PvP should never ever be combined in any game, but if GW2 absolutely insists on having stealth, then stealth should be a useful and balanced mechanic, not the trolly get-out-of-jail-free card that so many thieves (and mesmers) use it as. It's not uncounterable or unbeatable, but it is entirely unfun to fight against. (And I swear it's broken in PvE. Half the time, the mobs chase you whether you're in stealth or not.)

I'd love if they made it like really interactive with the terrain somehow, including tall grass or smoky/foggy areas, etc. Seems like they would have a lot of opportunities for this in HoT, but I guess it would require a pretty big overhaul of sorts.

So raids were announced today as the "hard" content.

10 man instance.
You will be able to step right into them from day 1, no attunement needed.
They will make use of masteries.

One raid announced with 3 wings, first wing to open a few weeks after release in order to give players time to build their masteries, enjoy the new zones, build their guildhalls, etc before entering, the one example mentioned you will need gliders to do it. The other wings will open up later on as players progress.

No mention of rewards, just the fact that you won't need new gear to progress, and 6 months down the line it won't be obsolete.

Can't wait for the 10 man elementalist groups to form.

Also, Legendary Armor Precursors will be dropped from raids. However they said they'll wait a couple weeks to release the first Raid shard because people need to build up masteries. First full "raid" is currently 3 parts.

I musta missed that somewhere, the raids are also going to tie into the living story at some point as well.

Berserker line feels clunky and like shit, even in PvE. Not sure why I expected anything else.

It's sad because Tempest, Chronomancer, and Dragon hunter actually turned out to be very useful and fluid, especially in WvW. Usually I expect ANet to make anything involving warrior overpowered, but not this time :/

Well this is the first beta for Berserker where as those other 3 had the last beta. Dragonhunter got a ton of benefit between betas. Tempest was updated a little less, but it's not damage they need it's like fluidity/not-clunky feeling.

Based on their track record with warrior, I don't have a lot of faith. They'll need to seriously rethink other trait lines to make this one worth using, which is something I doubt they will do.

Wilson was going absolutely ham with a Berserker build during the BWE.  I don't know how you guys were trying to build it, but he basically had a practically one-shot condi build based around the Taunt and the condi traits from the Strength line.  I didn't really have the time to delve into it much myself, and I don't doubt it needs some work, but from my conversation with Wilson, it certainly doesn't seem like the level of pessimism here is warranted.

Sounds like maybe the condi interrupt warrior. I don't know about PvP, but I wouldn't trust it in WvW.

A Berserker variant thereof, yes.  Like I said, I've not had time to really delve deeply into it, but Wilson was really positive about it and having a lot of success in both WvW and sPvP.

The taunt is fairly cool, but I do hope they address the burst skills and some of their mechanics. Overall it didn't really feel like the elite line introduced a new play style, despite what they seemed to want.

That was my initial impression as well. Obviously, noodling around in Silverwastes for half an hour does not a comprehensive evaluation make, but still, berserker didn't really give me any sense of "oh, this is different/new/cool/could really change the way I approach this class" in the way that, say, reaper or daredevil did.

In PvE, Reaper was a blast - it actually felt more Berserker than anything. I'm already building a necro setup for it.

Well, it looks like they're trying! I wish Bloody Roar hadn't gotten "simplified" in the way that it did, but the removal of the delay before bursting after going berserk is huge and some of the primals got some love. Too bad about that Dead or Alive cooldown though. :(
