Your right Icer, I certainly haven't been on Ehmry Bay long enough to see what PK has done/doing but we should probably just build a bridge and get over it, if PK want to think they're the best let them we all know HIRE's the best (that was a joke btw, not flame bait).

Toegra, I get that you want to defend your guild and your leader. I wanted to do that too on IoJ (and did since I'm foolish) but if you have a problem with Thuley, it's better sorted through PM's where the entire server won't have another thing to use in future arguments against PK. I personally agree with you that the threads mentioning PK and a class full of little children being shot to death is disgusting (well I think it is at least). Being shit talked and then talking shit back doesn't help the situation either. I think that Thuley should step up and lock threads that attack people and things like Madison's thread which is also flame bait and should stay out  of arguments like this other than to explain why the thread was licked. It's just really bad publicity for potential transfers.

EDIT: Oh and for the sake of staying on topic. No, I don't think Thuley's a Nazi or a Communist (Though I have been wrong before). And thanks for that Ralathar.

I don't discredit your claim that you have talked with Thuley through PMs, I only state that you whine about your guild's and your personal issues with Thuley all over the public forums and seem to be the only guild that does. While you state that it is because he has his favorites, I think most everyone at this point can agree that other guilds simply don't publish their interactions with Thuley all over the forums for all to see. Most see peekay do this and find their posts immature and unwarranted.

Also, I don't see how responding to your request to get the opinions of the members of these forums is hypocritcal:

There is a big difference between openly throwing an insult at the website owner and responding to said insult with retaliatory posts.

I can see your point of view and in some parts i agree. The problem is that it has been lost in a flame war sparked by your original inflammatory posts.
To be honest i trust that your original anger has subsided and left in place some genuine and well meaning intentions, intentions that i could probably get behind.

The problem is that you will not achieve your goal while this thread still exists. If i were you i would be talking to Thuley in a PM to settle your differences then ask him to delete this thread.

Then maybe create a new thread called "How can PK work better with Ebay?".

So,  I'm new to this forum but not to Ehmry Bay.  So I have little experience with the original complaints presented about board moderation/behavior. However, I've often found you can judge the general sides of a debate by the characteristics of the arguments made on each side.   On the left,  we have people claiming they are starting off a "looking for a reasonable, constructivev conversation about Thuley" by calling him a tyrant, a nazi, and a communist.  It's then continued by posts like General Hellsing's on page 2,  which read like a 16 year old's profanity spewn rant.

On the right,   you have people seeming to be reasonable and rational,  pointing out that lots of others have had issues with Thuley and managed to take care of them in a mature and reasonable fashion.  So.....yeah.  If you wish to sway any (relatively) unbiased observers to your side, think about the manner in which you present your argument, people.

Agreed. It seems that this is only between your guild and Thuley. I don't see a need at this point to include any others on the forums since no one has stated any problems they have had with Thuley besides your guild and those stated by you are yet to be proven to be valid reasons for concern.

I do hope that peekay can resolve their issues, including the personal ones they have with Thuley, so that they can become a more reputable guild among the rest of us on Ehmry Bay.

If your aim was to get Thuley's attention I think you have accomplished that. Perhaps if private communication is not sufficing and you would bring this issue to the public eye, more forum logs can be published rather than mere hearsay, name-calling, and baseless accusations.

I don't see a point in further posts unless they include some form of backing similar to what I listed, if that indeed exists. I don't see this going anywhere unless that happens.

I don't actually ban people lightly, mostly because I find it unnecessary.

There are currently 23 members banned, 14 of those are spammers that signed up before we switched to the current forum software.  Of the remaining 9 there are 4 AoN members, 3 Maguuma trolls, and two random spammers who actually went through the trouble of signing up here.

If anyone has reason to be really pissed at me it would be AoN I imagine, but then again they are not on this server so they just don't care enough to be pissed.

You had an issue with players in game bashing your guild and started a thread which was closed by Thuley, OK I get that, you took it to PM, good move. He gave you a legitimate answer.... you weren't satisfied, this is where it gets ugly. Why the need for this thread? "To get Thuley's attention" yet you were already talking to him in PM?  So you wanted to see how many forum goers where on your side? or as has already been stated perhaps just wanted attention idk.

A few of you keep saying he deletes and locks threads like a mad tyrant, yet the only examples I keep seeing pop up are the one about madison and PK and your initial post also about why people don't like pk. TWO threads = Thuley a tyrant? ok.....

Toegra -- I understand you are trying to make a point, but you really do need to stop denying people the validity of their views, calling people hypocrites, and changing your mind about what you are trying to say. You started this thread with the purpose of trashing Thuley and getting others to join in. This is hardly different than the thread you tried to start about PK that got shut down. Your original intent has changed so much (from originally calling Thuley out to now "trying to better the community") that it's tough to give anything you say any sort of credibility.

If you want to better this community, start by fixing the manner in which you go about addressing these issues. You can't talk down to players then turn around and plea for everybody to get along.

I really don't know why I'm reading this thread anymore. It has already killed my buzz.

EDIT: While we are on the topic of going about a better manner in addressing issues, there is no reason to EVER bring levels of education into an online argument. It does nothing but make you look like a conceited ass while consequently turning things into a chest thumping competition. Just some friendly advice from the peanut gallery.

I first posted a thread to undestand what is the dilema between pk and others.
It was shut down, I asked him about it and he gave me an answer. No I didn't agree with the answer.
To no avail did I find out what happened.
PK leaders told me what had happened in the past and that we are attempting to fix the problem.
I then seen threads where PK were openly bashed.

The reason why I don't understand, is this is.

Thuley shut my thread down because it was open to trolling, yet he allows others to troll PK.
Now I have no idea what Thuley's stand on this.
Intially, I posted the thread to get Thuley's attention to see if anyone else thought that he was only acting this way towards PK.
I said as previously, I should have left out the name calling it was wrong of me to do that.

Since reading the posts about Thuley I have realized that he does have to make hard decisions. I may not agree that he gets involved with them pointing fingers but that's his deal.

Now with that in mind, I will say. Thuley I do apoligize about the manner of the thread and the name calling. I still believe that you should have a more "Impartial" out take on matters.

Troll me as you like, but I do want to help the server. And I want to help PK be a part of the server so that we can do better as a team.

There is no part of my post, any of my past posts, or any of my future posts that you will have ever seen me or ever will see me trolling (Icer Xx is an exception only because I'm pretty sure it's a yappy Yorkshire Terrier at the other end). Almost all of the points you have tried to make have been made already, and almost all of the questions you have have already been answered. All you need to do is spend a little more time reading old posts on these forums because these answers/responses are still there in prestine, unbumped condition. It will take a bit of time and effort, but you will find all you need to form your own opinion (not someone else's) about how and why things are between certain groups of individuals.

I only say it this way because I know that you haven't spent this time familiarizing yourself with the forums and its growing contents based on the questions you have asked and some past threads you have made.

I'm not trolling and neither are any of the recent posters.

The answer as to why all the pk hate exists has been pretty much summed up by the others, people hold grudges for a while apparently (I personally have no quarrel with pk, although I don't frequent wvw) trying to mend the damages is a move in the right direction and will take time and work. As for why other threads exist "openly bashing pk" I can only assume either:
A) You're over exaggerating a bit
Thuley doesn't read EVERY post here perhaps they got missed or it was a small spat that wasn't going to escalate into anything.

Now that IMO you're questions have been answered and you've received input from the community I suggest we let this thread rest and to start a new thread in wvw about making it better for everyone and trying to get along with everyone. Show them pk is serious about wanting to get along.

Thanks slash. I'm kind of awkward at responding to this kind of thing, but it means something to me all the same. I could stand to work on phrasing what I say in a less aggressive way myself.
