Looks like you have some issues with people who point situations. I really don't care about you and actually don't even know you, i just quote what i learned about you from this thread and please don't think this forum is a big deal, i just frequent this because Jamaz organizes Friday's Opener like a boss and im learning a lot from him and other good WvW commanders / guilds.

btw, the argument "if you dont like it, go away" it's a bit emotional and/or inmature lol

Not at all.  You can point issues out all day long, just don't expect or demand that every time you do some change is going to follow.

There is nothing emotional about saying that if you cannot accept the way the forum is run then you need to no longer participate.  That's about as factual as it can get since it's a very simple "either or" matter.  Don't like it? Don't use it.

I find it highly unlikely that there will ever be actual content moderators on this forum.  Rather than placing the "policing" burden on some volunteer I am much more likely to simply remove the root cause of what requires moderator action to keep the other thousand+ members of this forum happy.

I think at the very least we can agree that locking the very unaggressive original thread that Toegra posted was a severe mistake or miscalculation lol.  I also do think  it says something that the non-confrontational original thread was quickly locked and yet this one is allowed to drag on and on.  Honestly the priorities on these were completely reversed.  The original shouldn't have been locked and this one should have been nuked to high hell instantly.

I think that I made it pretty clear in this thread and elsewhere that I am NOT unbiased.  I am making decisions based on what I think is the right thing to do with the goal of this forum being a value added resource for players.

Thus far only your guild members agreed that the original thread shouldn't have been locked, not that it's a popularity contest.  This thread remains open because if your guild wants to self-destruct on here then who am I to stand in the way of that.  I am sorry that I prevented that type of discussion from happening earlier.

I see nothing wrong with locking the original thread, as it was destined to eventually go where this one inevitably did.
The failure to lock this thread would have stemmed from the fact that this thread was a direct result of locking the last thread, and locking this one would have no doubt resulted in another even more inappropriate attempt soon after (possibly in the tone of "i'm sorry, i though this was mmmurrrica?").

The first thread locking was an example of Thuley being unable to predict the future, and acting on past experiences.
Allowing the second to continue was really the only way the author was going to learn a life lesson in PR, as previous lighter approaches had clearly failed.

Not that I think it's a troll thread. He's got a right to voice/scream his opinion. I just find the frequent use here of the word "troll" interesting.

There's one easy fix to all this, can we get a dislike button??  I hate the facebook-like interface where you can tell people you like something but yet you cant tell them how utterly fucking stupid they are by clicking on a button instead of posting responses.

I am a member of another forum that briefly had a neg button, and it got so badly abused that it was ditched within a month.
The population of that forum was probably a fair bit more 'grown up' than this one as well.
It may sound like a good idea, until somebody who does not like you follows you around the forum and negs every post you make.

We already have a report button, it appears at the bottom of every post in faded grey.
