Overall I do think it's silly to have a problem with an entire guild without personally knowing their full membership. I can say I have no problem with PK as a guild. The tone of some of these posts is pretty unacceptable (and disappointing, considering it's largely issued by leadership), but I know that's still a vocal minority.

I still see this getting mentioned a lot here and I want to address it one more time in case it was missed before. I was in contact with Madison throughout that day and I can confirm it was not intended to be flame bait or trolling. I can't make it any more clear than that. There are still plenty of opinions on the rest of the thread, the way it was worded, and the way folks responded -- and that's fine, I don't need to address those. It's her intent that's most frequently being called into question and I can at least provide some clarity there.

I do not agree with this OP or what it is implying. Hats off to Thuley, I have seen a post on here before about Commanders are unappreciated etc etc etc, well I see what Thuley does as that x100. This is a awesome resource and so is teamspeak. It is the reason I sayed in Ebay.

However i feel [pk] that  your anger is misplaced. From what I can tell this "straw on a camels back" broke on the post "What really matters" and I can honestly say I would be pissed to. I would not want my name or business posted in such an easily miss interpreted way to be related in any way shape or form to the horrible events that happened in the US. I say my name or business becasue I have run large guilds before, and that is what it is like, except you do it purely for passion and not for money.

If my name or business was brought into a post such as that, the OP and forum Admin would be getting a letter from my lawyer asking for immediate removal. Sounds a bit anal, not at all I have seen business have to rebrand, and remarket purely becasue of such post, google caching, and keywords being foreever linked with a business name. Its serious. And if you have ever tried to get google to remove cached links or slanderous content from there search engines you would know you are pushing shit up hill.

There is simply no need in my opinion for pk to be mentioned in any way in that post. It is posted about a terrible event, It is nothing to do with GW AND is posted in off topic. So stay off topic!

I would suggest the OP of this thread remove pk from its post to resolve such an obvious thorn in pks side (understandably) to show what a COMMUNITY we are, and then we get on with playing. The rest of what has gone on in this thread just speaks for itself.

Either I am saying this wrong or people are misunderstanding me:

The post that mentioned pK was NOT comparing pK, its members, or its actions to the events at the school.  It was a nod to the silly arguments that we have with another guild on these internet forums.  Think of it as Ferris Bueller looking at the camera and winking to let you know that he gets it, you're watching him in a movie. Would it have been better if she said "the arguments between us and THE GUILD WHO SHALL NOT BE NAMED"?  Does that really change the message, which is "Hey, we get it that we poke fun at each other, but at the end of the day none of us should be taking it as seriously as real life."  Would there be a chance that you didn't know that:

• We argue with pK.  A LOT.
  
• pK is the GUILD WHO SHALL NOT BE NAMED

If Silent posts "SHIT SHIT SHIT" or "PEWP FECES DUNG" is the message any different?  Are we so politically correct that we can't use the name of the people we argue with and should instead use a code name for each guild and member, pretending that EVERYONE doesn't know who we talk about? The Normal Guy, The Bro-Bag, the F-Bomber, and the Patronizer... any idea who I'm referring to?

One last example:  Joe Rogan is a comedian, a Black Belt, and a UFC fight announcer. During a UFC fight, the announcer working with Joe was having a difficult time referring to the fighters individually because they both were wearing black shorts... until Joe says "Why don't you just say the white guy and the black guy?".  Are we so wrapped up in offending people (or being offended) that we have to make up new ways to refer to people so that they don't post 11 page shit storms?  Stop holding on so tightly and just relax.

What i've learned in this thread

PK have bad reputation. I don't know them but i feel they're douchebags (i suppose this is how reputation works). But also feel they have some nice guys who actually are trying to clean up their reputation...sad thing is Hellsing or xSilent can throw all that effort with a single post.

PUNKS love troll threads but dont like to be trolled. Also they can be serious sometimes and when they do it, they can contribute with real good arguments.

Thuley is a good guy, but it seems that his emotions move him away from the impartiality that he, as an admin, must have. He need to assign some moderators to this forums.

Apticus still ignored.

Chappy is like an Wise Hermit, he have tons of experience.

I am probably the most non-emotional guy you will ever know.  I have a sense of what's right and wrong which others may not share, but I don't plan on changing that.

I find it highly unlikely that there will ever be actual content moderators on this forum.  Rather than placing the "policing" burden on some volunteer I am much more likely to simply remove the root cause of what requires moderator action to keep the other thousand+ members of this forum happy.

If you don't like that you can find a different place to frequent, simple as that.
