So the new maps are kind of a pain to navigate.  Yeah they have lots of events constantly, but I can't figure out half the time how to get to them :/

Guess I'll be spending my time in wvw more then pve...yet again.  That is after I unlock Herald and become a boon machine \O/

Once you get gliding it gets easier.

I have gliding, it did make it easier but still to many layers I feel.  After I spend more time in the maps and not just play it for a short session it might not be bad.  But it makes a pretty bad first impression and I can see why people are all mad and pissy about it.  Are all the maps super layered like verdant is?

I've only been to Verdant so far, so I'm trying to reserve judgement. I know when I first got to Orr and the alpine BL map back in the day, I was like "WTF, how do I even navigate this hellhole?" After some time, though, I figured out how to get around, and the maps became a lot less off-putting. I expect it'll be the same thing with Verdant.

So Nessa took me on a mini whirlwind tour through some parts of the new maps, and I have to say I'm impressed. I don't know how they'll actually play in practice, but in terms of visuals and overall sense of place, they're amazing. The environments in GW2 have always been good, but ANet really outdid themselves with this new batch. (The bits I saw of Auric Basin were freaking gorgeous.) I'm also starting to like how twisty and multi-layered they are. After spending so much time basically running in circles in the Silverwastes, these new maps are a welcome change of pace.

You need mushroom jump too, it makes it much easier!

Elite specs going to cost only 250 instead of 400.  Time to grind out some hero points!

Silvers do the story line, you get mastery points.  I just figured that out today as I was sitting with a full xp bar and could not learn it.  Also bring revive orbs with you for the Ancient tree HP just in case you accidentally die on the platform like I did.

Shuttles, how long did it take you to master in COF?

Also start saving every mat and farm everything.  We will need every thing from all places including ascended mats for guild hall.

I only did the first couple parts of the story, so I'll try to work through some more tonight.

When you say everything, do you mean low-tier mats, too? Like, everything everything?

like everything. you need really random things for guild and all the add-ons of guild. also just in general, mat prices are going to go up because of that so stock up! (and i'm sneaking on today. got some anger issues i need to take out on poor unsuspecting mobs.)

Also, you can borrow the crop if you want, just put it back when you're done.

If you run full booster, being birthday, normal xp, kill streak xp, 15% food and utility.  You can get about 2-2.5 million an hour with a decent group that's semi organized with pulling mobs.  Pact mastery took about 4-5 hours I think?  I didn't keep track of time, sorry.

It is incredibly boring and mind numbing. I would suggest not popping all your boosters, like all your kill steaks, at once before you do it so you can stop and take breaks by doing other things and not feel like your wasting boosters.
